Etang, there are a couple L2P threads about downed state you should read.
Man I do just fine, top player in pugs and tourneys alike. Downed state is still nothing more than a care bear saving feature.
They say it’s in the game to help mitigate teams just bursting down one player, yet teams can still easily burst down one player.
It doesn’t serve it’s original purpose, therefore there is no reason for it to be in the game.
All it does is make sPvP a zergfest cause everyone is too afraid to do anything alone.
I really wish they would just remove it. Or at least give us an option to play without it. It’s so bad.

The idea of sPVP is to play as a team. Its not a solo game afterall. Being able to revive your ally can be crucial in a game.
You can have a revive without a downed state.
Downed state ruins what could be a really fun game mode.
Or just remove it and make everyone happy.
Not me, I like the downed state. People who whine about mesmers or thieves and “never being able to finish them” don’t seem to realize that you can just auto attack and kill them, or just finish them twice. Their escape ability doesn’t recharge fast enough to get away from you again unless you wander off and then come back later.
You wouldn’t miss it.
