Aside from the obvious balance changes needed for certain classes, here is a list of important sPvP suggestions. Keep in mind that these changes are not necessarily needed for WvW.
1. Remove the downed state – Since this is small structured teams, when a player dies he should be dead. I love the downed state Idea for PvE, but for competitive PvP you won’t find one person who thinks that the frustrating abilities certain classes have to warp, invis, knock-back, during downed state is fun. (However, I do believe being able to revive a dead teammate should still be included).
2. Allow teammates to ping the minimap – Not everyone has a mic and most people don’t take the time to type things out. It would be nice to warn or bring to attention key areas.
3. Show weapon icons when targeting an enemy – If we are going to learn how to play against certain classes it would be nice to see what current weapon/weapons they have equipped. That way we can start to associate what abilities belong to which weapon for a particular class.
4. Diminishing Returns needed – I don’t see CC as bad in this game as it is in others, but if lined up correctly with certain classes a player can be perma controlled.
5. Give options to join 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4, Some of us shouldn’t be reliant upon PUGs for success.
6. Slow down the chaos – I’ve played the sPvP for quite sometime now and the 1v1 speed is fairly decent, but when it’s a bigger fight (i.e. 3v3, 4v4) you can’t keep track of who is doing what. The lack of a Global Cooldown only adds to this dilemma.
7. Bigger Maps – To easy for a team who is dominating a map to move from one point to the next.
