I’ve had this issue off and on since I bought the game. Doesn’t happen every day or even on the same map/instance. First indication I get that it’s going to disconnect is my skills lag. I can move about fine I can see others apparently having no problems I.e. still using skills but I can’t, the buttons just flash. I can’t talk to npc or farm resource nodes or use waypoints but I can type in chat. Seconds later I get bumped to the character selection screen with the “client disconnect” error message. Try as I might I can’t then get that map to work for that particular game session.
