Support fl ele: Benevolence or Life sigil?

You got 3 main sources of outgoing heal:
Aura heal, with a .55 modifier, that makes your full stacked life sigil give a 138 bonus.
WTPA, witha .75, a .5 and a .25 modifier.
Regen, with a .125 modifier.

So basicaly, Life sigil gives you very little bonus, even though it gives that bonus to yourself.
If you are running a minstrell tempest, probably with monk runes and rice food, Benevolence sigil is a no brainer. In fact, you should be running transference, and only adding benevolence to that if you don’t want/need to run concentration.

Yes! That Svarty person knows it all! One should stay on one’s server, and build up with the good and the bad. One should not bandwagon to a different, higher and in better shape server with dozens of other players.
He’s right!

World Linking 8/26/2016

Any admin at all:
Please explain, in simple terms, the reasoning behind the current server linkings.

I am going to assume someone isn’t randomly clicking servers every 2 months, so there must be, regardless of how wrong and twisted, some sort of reason for the selection of servers.

You looked at FSP and thought “hey! This server looks weak! Let’s give them 2 servers!”

You looked at GH and thought "hey! This guys aren’t doing so bad… they are barely losing their matchup against a much larger server! Let’s remove their decent pairing and give them an empty one instead… and while we are at it, let’s give AG (a much larger server) RoF (a much larger guest than Vabbi).

While we are at it, let’s merge dzagonur and abadon!

Look at it!
One week, GH is playing with UW against Abaddon’s and Dzagonur, barely beating Dzag and getting beat by over 100k points by Abaddon’s, the next week GH is paired with a smaller server than UW, and the 2 servers we just fought are merged together!

WHY?

GH will not last 2 months of this. We are outnumbered in every single borderland, and we can’t upgrade anything. We were never “top tier” but we were never plastic tier either…. you managed to do that from one day to the other.

I am gonna guess, that your objective is to make players transfer to the top tiers, therefor making some money in gems, and saving some money by deleting a couple more tiers. But if that’s the case, save us all the trouble and do it already!

Am I wrong and being unfair? Isn’t the seemingly arbitrary linking made merely for monetary reasons? Then by all means defend your company’s honour and explain the reasoning behind this week’s linkings.

wow… that’s a really dumb idea.
I think wvw should be focusing more on things like fixing the wp @ bay or balancing server populations, and less on tequatl tracks….

The disease is FoW?

Yes. That has to be the entire point of everything I wrote. In fact, maybe I should change the thread title to “FoW is a disease”.
The “disease” is the smaller server! Of course it is!
Some bandwagons will probably transfer to vabbi or ros, because it’s a cheap way to transfer to Deso and Gandara (both strong servers before the merge).
Now tell me something: Will anyone transfer to FoW as an alternative to transfering GH? Will anyone go Blacktide to play with the hordes of AG? Will Whiteside Ridge have an influx of players that always dreamed of playing for RoF? Will Underworld become the new meta because they want to join the ranks of FSP?
No. The small servers will remain the same they were (and always were), and the cap between the host servers and the stronger gold servers will further increase.

Population Count IS bugged.

That’s ridiculous… Who was the genius who thought of that?
The game had:
- Strong servers
- Struggling servers
- Dead servers

Now the game has:
- Strong servers
- Struggling servers with an attached disease that prevents them from getting better.

I mean, I got nothing against the good ppl in those dead servers, but it makes no sense to cripple silver just so they get some gameplay during a couple months.
No one joined their server ‘till this day, and they ain’t gonna start now. Especially since ppl will be joining a server that will be paired with God knows who in 2 months.

I’m not sure how it works in US servers, but there at least everyone is equally hurt or helped. But in EU, it really isn’t working very well.

It was brought up earlier, and something amongst the lines of “server cap has been readjusted” was responded, but NO: The game is counting the sum of both servers (host and guest) as the server population count.

Take EU for example:
Does anyone at all think that Drakkar Lake, FSP or AG have a higher population than SFR or Piken Square? Of course they don’t, yet the 1st servers mentioned are marked as “full” while the others are marked as Very High.

Thing is, all servers have a reasonable number of players who log to wvw to do dailies. Those don’t really add anything to a server fighting force but count to server population. When you merge 2 servers together, you get twice the number of ppl doing that. And that part of the population Is only being added to the “host” server population count".
I’m in GH, and there is absolutely no way in hell we alone have a higher population count than BB. Yet the game says we do…. AND we are allied to another server, so yes, I am supposed to believe that GH alone outnumbers BB, yet even with our allies from FOW we are omniblob trampled by them.

PLEASE take a look at this. Let us know what the numbers really are! The Host servers are being severely crippled by this, since servers like mine that were growing have a transfer cost much higher than it should, and servers like AG or FSP can no longer go up since they are “full” while servers like PS or SFR still have room in them (good joke).

Same. Crashing every couple of minutes in WvW…regardless of map.

Protector's Strike Aura

Sometimes (many times), when a guardian uses Protector’s Strike, the bubble aura (and sound) will remain indefinitely.
I do not know exactly what triggers it, but it happens to all guardians, sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes after a long time.
It does not “bug” at the same time to all players, and as far as i have seen, it never bugs for the mace user.
Switching weapons does not fix it, respawning does not fix it, using a tonic does not fix it. Only leaving and rejoining the map fixes it.

I know this is an old bug (been there since the game was launched), but mace being garbage on anything but PVP made this a “non issue” since you end up changing map often, but with the new shield buffs, I would like to use shield in WvW but “can’t” since after a few minutes I have all my guild mates begging me to leave map and rejoin because the sound is that obnoxious.

Plz fix (or heck… make it so using a tonic or something resets animations… that would make me happy enough).

It looks to me that you’re getting a bitter taste in your victory by seeing us being happy at what we do. I most certainly hope I’m wrong.

Actually, it’s your boy who’s making feeble troll attempts, going all “ah! we loosin but you give us loots”.
Quite honestly, getting loots when all I see is you guys sitting inside your own BL keeps isn’t that hard. I also pretty much broke my loot record this week from you guys, but bragging about it is silly, since the goal of WvW isn’t to get loots, otherwise, we’d all be running d/d’s, shatter mesmers and glass canon thieves, and being horrible at anything that isn’t killing an opponent.
As for those great 2:1 tactics… still to be seen. Let us know when you start using them so we can learn a bit as well.

Permanent quickness

It happened once, and today it happened again.
I was fighting in WvW EB, and sudddenly my character got quickness but without the boon icon showing up… then, upon weapon change, it appeared faster than quickness (so fast most skills other than auto-atack won’t trigger) and it remained like that forever.
I don’t know what triggered it. First time it happened, I was fighting a human oponent, second time I was fighting a scout npc.
I run Win7, no 3rd party software running other than TS.
