Thank you for the information.
I know that I’m in the minority but I like the reward system of Mordrem Invasion. I think the amount of rewards and item prices were calculated pretty nicely in comparison to how some of them were obtainable in the past.
That is of course if we take into account that players would be able to obtain 5 daily bonuses for each map. 5 days of daily map bonus plus let’s say 10 events gives 450 blossoms which is quite nice. The main issue for me were obviously bugged rewards during the first evening. I saw that they are bugged so I went to bed, so I will be compensated with only one daily boost.
If you plan to do more events with similar style of temporary implementation maybe try to give us exact information about rewards and how to obtain them so that we can do some math and see what we can farm for. And obviously try to implement it without bugs since the duration is quite short For players with less play time maybe you can do shorter wait times between events, maybe like 10 minutes of wait time + 30 minutes of event with larger pauses between invasions. I know it is difficult to fine tune this so that everyone is happy but I’ve heard many complaints about big downtimes.
EDIT: And also somehow fix the reward buff so that we can maybe go offline or change maps. I didn’t mind the port and tag event strategy even though a lot of players think it doesn’t really support group play.

Hehe, I was also looking at the cheapest i5, it is 160€ so only about 20€ more than FX-8320. But I’ve found that unOCed it isn’t really that great, cheapest vs best without K is 30€ and then another 10€ for K version … . Then some good cooling and it goes on and on. But I will see, I still have like 2 months since I’m planning to move my current PC into my office and maybe AMD/Intel will announce something new or maybe will reduce pricing
Thanks again. I think I could live with 15 FPS, I guess. I know that price differences are not that huge but it is like that with everything, first you add 10€ and you can get this better, then another 15€ and you get also this and then you look at the bill 150€ higher as was the plan Thanks again for nice feedback.
PS: Electrical engineer here so I did have my share of Math in my old days and completely understand that conclusion part
Thanks for your feedback guys. Not exactly what I was looking for but still kinda helps I know that if I get 4670K and OC it it will run pretty much all the content in GW2 but it is quite pricey and also I’m not really a big fan of over clocking. I know that the boost is huge, my two friends both have i5-3xxxK, one OCed it to 4.5GHz and second has it on stock settings and the difference is quite big.
What I wanted to know is that if maybe FX-6300 or 8320 can run WvWvW on High (not Ultra High) with 15-25FPS during larger zerg vs zerg (I’m on Piken Square). Right now with my already mentioned PC it is obviously quite impossible at lowest of lowest settings with 5 FPS I also mentioned that I have my eyes on R9 270 card, you guys stated that even R7-260x is enough for GW2 but even though I play MMOs most of the time (2013 was 100% MMO for me), I do hop into BF3/4 from time to time with my friends and who knows what will come later. I think 260x won’t be enough in the longer run since I usually upgrade my PC every 4 years.
I’m trying to get my new setup for under 600€. Case, PSU, RAM and VGA are 360€. If I buy 260x which I really really don’t want it would be 320€. With 260x I can easily get i5-4670K with some 70-80€ MBoard but I’d rather have better VGA and some lower FPS here and there I’ve played GW2 on low for last 15 months so I think that if I can get Ultra in dungeons and medium/high in WvWvW I’d be OK with that.

Hello there fellow Tyrians. I’ve tried to use the search thingie and although I’m aware that Intel i3/5/7s rule the world I find it strange that there are no mentions about AMD CPUs I’m thinking about buying new PC and for quite some time I was torn between i3 and i5. I looked on different hardware forums for some guidance and have found soooo many different advices that I’m in super dark corner right now. Here’s the deal what I’d like to know:
GW2 prefers rather fast CPU cores (i3/5/7) then more slower ones (FX-6300/8320). I know that OCed i5-3570k can run GW2 on almost maxed settings even in quite large WvWvW battles. What are you experiences with AMD CPUs?
I’d like to try some streaming from time to time and on most HW forums people tend to advise for AMD CPUs since streaming/encoding really pairs well with more CPU cores. People usually ask about streaming FPS or MOBA games and MMOs like GW2 are kinda different since they are more CPU based.
My current setup is Phenom X3 920 with ATI 4850 and it is not enough for WvWvW. I’m quite sure I want new R9 270 card but those CPUs won’t let me sleep at night … .
PS: Here in Slovakia, i3 costs around 100€, i5 200€, FX-8320 is 140€ and FX-6300 is 100€ and every € counts
hehe, thanks man. i know there are some threads but i did my research like a week ago and haven’t found some 100% sure one Looks like it should work without a problem. I don’t need to move to another character, just need to change stats
Thanks again, you’ve been very helpful and I wish you great RNG
Hello there fellow Tyrians.
I’d like to ask if anyone here recently transmuted his Legendary weapon and changed its Sigil and if the result is still Legendary. I’ve read around forums that it used to bug out and the final weapon had only exotic text and that there might be some problems in the future. I found some information that few patches dealt with transmutation problem but I want to be 100% sure before I do it
Thanks very much.
Finally … But I’m still missing the helmet though, let’s hope it won’t take too long to get it.
Pretty much as others said but I used:
5 Radiance for blinds → 10 for Vulnerability
10 Honor for Shouts recharge
5 Virtues for boons → 10 for Master of Consecrations
Skills were Purging Flames for DPS and fire combos, Save Yourselves! and Retreat!, elite Renewed Focus. GreatSword and Sword/Torch, I didn’t use focus since I never really needed survivability and I like Torch #4 and #5 is uber cool
The main tip would probably be to hit Trading Post every 5 levels or so and buy full green gear for few silvers, if you can’t afford buyout then use buy order. Most of the time you can buy green gear for a little bit more than you will get back from vendoring it For accessories I also suggest to buy blues and you can resell them later. Buy minor sigil of bloodlust and put it into GS. This will speed up leveling so much …
@Brutaly
Ok then, I’ll count how much stats will I get from Exquisite Ruby Jewels and from some other rune sets and will see for myself. And yeah, that Divinity rune is quite pricey but I think I’ll give it a go.
Thanks another time I guess, I’m out of questions …
@Brutaly
ok, so pretty much Berserker weapons, 3x Berserker armor + 3x Cleric armor and Ruby jewels
I also wanted to ask if sigils of energy wouldn’t be better than blood, but looks like you use energy
My final question is what rune set do you use, in that link you use of the Soldier, which I really like but maybe there are some other good/better options …
THX very much in advance, you’ve been very very helpfull.
Hello there fellow guardians, nice thread and good advices.
I’ve been trying to come up with some build for my fresh level 80 Guardian and I came up with something pretty similar to the Brutaly’s build. Although I cant decide what gear to craft/get. I’’ll be crafting my set and according to link, he uses Knight’s amulet (vit/power/preci) but Knight’s armor has (toughness/power/preci) and as accessories he uses combination of power/preci/critDMG with a little bit of vitality.
I know that I need a lot of crit, thats a nobrainer, but I’m not sure what combination to get. So far I’m thinking about Knight’s armor (toughness/power/preci), Beryl jewels (power/critDMG/vit) and maybe berserker weapons ? His original build has a ton more of vitality, but if I want to get enough precision out of a crafted gear, looks like I’ll have to swap some of it for toughness and hope that vitality from jewels is enough.
Or do some of you have some other good combination to get these stats easily via crafted gear?
TL;DR: What is the closest crafted gear setup (weapons/armor/jewels) to the Brutaly’s build?
