That new Jumping Puzzle of yours? There is a zone at the east end of the top of the volcano where there is now way to die and no way to escape. Sounds like waypointing for me! Too bad I had reached checkpoint 4 and was at the end of the JP though…

Maybe a /gg, like in the raids? Just throwing that out. Waypointing at this point is EXTREMELY frustrating.

I just spent three hours grinding the Flights of Fancy achievement. After the third phase of flying, I was still qualified for the achievement. Then I beat Mordremoth, and I lost it when I spawned back beside Trahearne. What happened here? I really do NOT want to grind it again…

Thanks!

Hi,

Just did the Uncategorized fractal lvl 44, which was also a Daily Tier 2. However, I did not get credit, neither in my Dailies or in my Fractal Adept tracker and obviously, did not get the rewards. Is it a bug or did I do something wrong along the way? I started the fractal from the beginning and was there until the end.

Thanks!

In that case, though, would Minstrel be a reasonable option, or just too defensive-stats oriented?

Thanks, makes sense indeed, but how could all the races agree on who has the authority to mint? I also believe that, with Cantha silent and thus, Zunlai’s bankers cut off from their homeland, there was no way economy could not evolve from this (or any event that happened in that span, for that matter) . It’s just that I felt the Devs took a lot of care in bridging between GW and GW2 lore-wise (how Krytan became the main language or The Movement of the World for instance) and had always wondered if I just missed something, or if it was not explained, if even possible/viable to do so.

Hello all!

I recently got into the raiding game and now I am really trying to optimise my druid for a heal/dps role and I figured, from the wiki page, that Keeper’s set (Zealot in exotic) was the role I was aiming for (Power, Precision, Healing). However, I realized the recipes were only available from the marionette boss in Living Season 1. Now, the recipes are, as far as I know, not acquirable and, I imagine, in very rare quantity. Indeed, when they are available at all on the TP, they tend to be at a somewhat high price in seller’s listing with very little fluidity in buyer’s listing. Are we running out of a finite amount of them? The only other interesting alternative would be a Magi set, which implies a different gameplay that sacrifices dps for heal (not so good for Vale Guardian), and I feel it is penalizing.

Also, this makes me wonder, why are some stats sets restricted as such and not others? Is there a reason for this (game balance maybe)? Else, is there any plan by ANet to put some more of these recipes in circulation through the Living Season 3? Please let me know if I am missing something here or complaining about an issue that does not really exist!

Merci!

P.S.: ThanksDevs for the Bloodstone Ruby trinkets with selectable stats that include HoT combinations, the laurel merchant was really lacking in that regard.

Hello GW2 community! This is my first post ever on the forum, so I figured I’d address a question I’ve never really had an answer for.

Currency! How did the world of GW moved, in the span of 250 years, from gold/platinum based exchange (GW) to the current C/S/G system? I am fairly knowledgeable of the lore from both games, but if there is any explanation for this change, I have definitely missed it. I understand it is probably for a practical reason (crafting and TP most likely), but could there also be a way to explain how, now, a platinum ingot is only worth a few silvers?

I’ve thought about a theory where darksteel was discovered through some sort of industrial cooperation/accident by the Charr and Asura, and it was found that its properties made it a stronger metal than steel for weapons. As the Human’s grip on Tyria waned, other races, especially the warlike ones (Charr and Norn) began to influence deeply the economy. Could the Charr and Norn (culturally more likely to trade goods than to adopt a Human banking, currency based system), seeing that platinum was too valuable and rare as a component of darksteel and war industry, pressure the world around them to abandon platinum as a currency? That way, the only natural choice, with gold being the main currency, was to get silver and copper in the lot.

Now, I am not very well versed in economics and I understand there are some discrepancies in-game (silver ore could theoretically be worth more than gold or plat on TP), but let me know what you think of this theory, if there is an official lore explanation, or what is your own opinion.

Merci!
