And now it all makes sense. Man I feel dum! Thanks. I think I got confused as, if I am not mistaken you can complete achievements on the HoT content on any character, as you play through it. It’s been a while since I went back!

I’ve just started playing back through the LW2 story on one of my alts and during the Entanglement chapter (Discovering Scarlet’s Breakthrough – the ley line hub with the inquest) I still have not completed all the achievements, namely the “No Tricks” achievement. However there isn’t an icon saying that I am eligible for this and upon completion of the instance I received no achievement. I have definitely not completed this yet. I haven’t checked any other achievements yet as this is the first in the line that I need to complete so I am wondering, is this a bug or have these achievements been cancelled in a previous patch?

Is anyone else having this problem?

In a couple of recent PvP match ups I have found myself, about 1 minute in, with a frozen game. It then takes about 3 minutes to decide that the client has crashed and there is a server problem. It’s not the internet on my end as nothing else has stopped. But when it finally acknowledges what has happened and shuts down so that I can re-open my character and the fight, upon completing the match I am left with a long wait time for another game as I apparently deserted. I didn’t leave the match ANet, your servers shut me down. Is there anything that can be done about this because I find losing match time as punishment for mistakes that are out of my hands to be somewhat unfair and brutally disheartening. This feeling is doubled given that we are in League time right now.

This seems to be ongoing from late last week and I can only assume it’s at ANET’s end as I swear my internet is fine. What’s going on ANET, why the troublesome disconnects?

Sorry to jump in on your thread here but I am also looking to upgrade my system and have already started but I need advice on where to go from here. Firstly though, as far as memory is concerned when it comes to gaming there is not a massive need to go up from 4GB as most games just aren’t built to drain this area. Of course, it never hurts to have more and you could pick up 8GB for relatively cheap these days.

I have just upgraded my graphics card but I built my rig about 3-4 years ago. It has lasted me very well but when I realised my optimal settings for all games was the lowest settings I decided it needed to change. So here is my set up:

Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 785G Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Socket AM3 3.0GHz
OCZ GameXStream 850W PSU
Asus GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 – (the new upgrade)
Kingston 4GB (2×2GB) DDR3 1600MHz
500GB HDD

I intend to upgrade the HDD to 1TB, minimum, and also get an SSD. I may also go for an upgrade to the memory but my biggest concern here is that I am going to have to bring in a whole new mobo. Anyone know what I should be looking at and what is a good option, preferably not stupid expensive?
