Don’t think you are getting it. The matchmaking should allow us to be equally matched and yet we never are. I have yet to see 60 ever for DH. We do really well grossly outnumbers so I believe that is not sarcasm. Experienced PvPers in this lot I’m sure. But we just get rolled 80v30 so often it’s kinda of silly. But yeah good job DH putting up with the broken match making
I want to thank everyone in Darkhaven and Ehmry Bay for fighting so hard! It is so nice have so much to do. Trying to take a camp, tower or keep without getting run over by 60 takes skill! Props! Being spawn camped is so convenient. You can walk right out of any spawn and fight outnumbered odds without a wait. There is never a cue including reset! Bonus! It also encourages you to do other things in game like pve. The fact that there are only 6 players on our teamspeak at any given time gives us the opportunity to get real close. Its also refreshing to have no expectations at all. This way everything is a celebration. We celebrate as a group when we kill a yak! Thank you from Darkhaven for all the love!!!! Jelly Doom
I’m not sure if sarcastic… we have 60 ppl playing and we aren’t outnumbered anymore 24/7?
I find this the best MMO I’ve played and I’ve tried most of them – even Black Desert and some off ones.. but one thing (the only thing) that GW2 seems to lack is using desired spell effects that are really enjoyable for one weapon.
My favorite is the staff but it seems really out of wizard character and not fun to have to roll backward to put a good dot on something.
Would love it if we could move one ability from one weapon to another – provided it was a balanced move.
Black Desert wizards have the coolest spells I’ve seen. .but i could not stay there, since Guild Wars 2 trumps it on every other front.Wish List: customized skills please!
:)
It was like that a few months before they released the game. That was how GW1 was designed. There is an old beta video of a staff elementalist with phoenix and meteor shower on his skill bar. It’s even the reason why the animations don’t match the weapons used (fireballs don’t come out of the staff, skills fx come out of the empty hand, etc).
They decided to lock the skills with weapons very late in the development.
Which is a good idea. Honestly if you could pick and choose then what is the point in having different weapons in the first place?
There is completely a point. You could still allow customization of say one power for another and that would be it. Especially possible if you made a skill that required some points that might block on one thing to allow such a swap.
I realize it’s about balance – that’s obvious. But it would be nice to get some more Guild Wars 1 style customization. Or some more spell options added to compete with some of the amazing effects in other games. They don’t even have to be powerful, but might be more appealing than rolling backward and leaving a trail of flame, for example..

Hey,I was thinking about playing Black Desert. What would you say about pros and cons ?
The animations on any class are amazing. The action feels very fluid, and combat feels the most exciting of any MMO I’ve played. That being said it’s still kind of old school quest system and tons of them. You can’t get some quests without enough rep with a person – which is good and bad imo.
The trade system is like a mini game in itself and is very vague and hard to pickup without just diving in and figuring things out.
The real con for the game is the lack of instanced things – story or dungeon or anything. You run into an area filled with critters and they spawn like crazy. You never really defeat them and just have to run for your life out of the area to call it complete.
If you are interesting in Black Desert still, check with a buddy who has it because he might have a 1 week trial key he can hand out.
Otherwise you’ll have to stick to videos are perhaps waste $50.
