Hello and welcome to the recruitment post for Hymn[HYMN]. This is a guild that was created on launch day with a couple of friends. However, only some of these friends remain because we have just returned to the game. We are looking to expand our friend group to have a larger community and have fun with more people.
Our Goals
We plan on doing a little bit of everything, but primarily focusing on WvW. I was recently inspired by the other commanders to learn how to be a competent leader and to help Dragonbrand become higher on the WvW tier list.
We don’t want to have an exclusively small focus so we plan on having weekly guild missions for members to get commendations. Everyone knows that Ascended equipment is awesome so we want to make sure our members have an opportunity to get their equipment faster. We can do all forms of guild events and multiple times a week so members don’t miss out if they can’t make one day!
Hopefully the guild will blossom into a friendly environment where people can find others to do dungeons with. As we are, we really enjoy doing all kinds of dungeons, just for the experience of doing them. We do not limit ourselves to running one particular dungeon for “good loot.” However, this remains to be seen and depends on how the guild grows!
Finally, I personally love doing Fractals and I’m sure many others do as well. Sometimes Fractals are hard to pick up on because people don’t explain them well enough and and looking for group websites have randomly distributed fractal levels. We hope that we can also have an environment where people would be willing to help newcomers with each Fractal starting from the bottom up.
PvP is an enjoyable aspect to the game that we have not touched on. I can’t say much about it because I’m not very good at it. However, I do like to participate in it and we can host tournaments if people are interested with winnings.
In short, we plan on doing all that Guild Wars 2 has to offer and we hope that you guys would be willing to join us.
Requirements
1. There is no specific age requirement. However, we do ask that you be mature enough to not throw a temper tantrum if anything does not go your way. Trust us, we’re not out to put you in a bad mood. We also have no age requirement because I know 40 year olds that are more mature than 14 year olds, all we care about is that you can handle yourself and we’ll do our best to accomodate!
2. If you could represent the guild, that would be awesome! However, we understand that you might be doing something else with another group of friends and we don’t want to ruin that. We expect that you do represent us for most of the time though.
3. I don’t want to make this into a cheesy normal requirement stating, but it has to be said that you MUST respect everyone else in the guild. I don’t care if you’re an officer or new recruit, everyone is equal to everyone else and it is very important to emphasize because I want to make it clear that we should be very friendly.
4. We have no level requirement or anything of the sort. If you’re a new player, we would be glad to have you in the guild. If you would need anything, feel free to ask, we welcome all new players and consider it an honor that you would choose us.
WvW
I believe this topic has to have a section to itself because I find it so important. I have big plans for WvW and hopefully we can get competent commanders to lead our forces as well. I hope that we can work together to achieve a lot but as it remains, there is not much to say about this.
In Conclusion
Add Faov in-game or post on this thread and I will take the time to come and find you. We have a Mumble server which will allow members to communicate amongst each other if any are interested. This will not be mandatory but we highly suggest it because it can make the game experience much more fun.
