After the April 15th patch, I transmuted my armor using charges to get my Nightmare Court Armguards (now called Inquest Bracers). After the transmutations of the rest of my armor, they all dyed fine and are working great except for the Inquest Bracers. It is currently in Autumn Sky. When I apply a dye color (like Blood), it changed on the Dye Panel, but as soon as I close the Dye Panel and re-open it, there is no change made and I am stuck with the Autumn Sky dye.
Either Vomit’s D/P perma-stealth build or a regular D/D build with Shadow Refuge is just fine. I’ve had no problems running away from a zerg just by using Roll for Initiative + Withdraw (healing roll) + Shortbow skill 5 (infiltrator’s arrow) with either build. However, D/P is a bit annoying to keep stealthing, while D/D leaves you out in the open too much. Try em both, you’ll get a feel of which kind of scout you want to be
@Dagins, by “rest” of the skills I hope you don’t mean 4 and 5? They aren’t really good for damage either so it’s only between auto-attack, which is condition, and 2+3 which are power/crit-based. It depends on which style you’ll be going for, but I agree with Einlanzer that a hybrid build with survivability is the best, since we thieves are the top in that field.
Yes, taking off Melee Attack Assist will help you run through your targets. You should practice using C&D right before you go thru them, and practice using a D/D or P/D thief for PvE and level up for a while only using C&D. Then take it to PvP and learn how to successfully land a C&D on a real person. Also, for Shadowstep, I bind it to an easily accessible key, which for me is R since I don’t use it for anything (I set my AutoRun to mouse3 aka clicking the mousewheel), good luck and happy hunting!
