Would be nice to get a response to all the Eternity chat going on elsewhere on these forums. Quite a few people have been waiting and waiting….and waiting for a shred of interest from someone who knows a guy, that knows a guy, that works with a guy or girl that could help us out on this matter. So many great suggestions have been posted with absolutely no response. I almost think that they wish they had never put that sword in the game and we would all just stop talking about it. Show some love please. Even if the response is a simple “Hi” at least we know you read this.

Glad to see this is a hot topic still. I log on occasionally with hope that I will notice a difference in it, at the very least a blade streak when thrown but I always log off disappointed. What is even more disappointing is the lack of interest from the devs. I’ve emailed directly, contacted a few on facebook and posted on these forums a bunch of times and never get a bite. Wish there was a way to uncombine them.

Yea drop system can be weird like that but in a good way i guess, I got dusk and dawn back to back 2 weeks ago out of the forge after like a month of no playing. Jumped on and dumped all my gold on exotics (like 32 swords or something) and bam, got those. And I still don’t play. Till they fix Eternity I feel I wasted a ton of my time on it. I say fix because everyone knows it lacks epicness and that needs fixin. They had a great idea for that sword but came up a little short in the end.

Hopefully they fix your issue so you are able to make Eternity. I have heard from numerous people the fix is coming. I also hope that they fix the lack of effects Eternity has currently so when you do make it you won’t be bummed out. I like seeing more and more threads about this sword. Although Anet has bigger fish to fry than fixing this sword which is understandable, I don’t believe they can ignore it forever….hopefully they won’t

I have also been posting on here for the past 4 months after creating the sword with no luck as of yet. Still have faith they will make us happy and give Eternity some more epicness. At this point all I want is for a dev to post on one of our threads and just let us know they hear us loud and clear. I am seeing more and more people posting about this issue so maybe we will hear something soon? Hopefully? =)

Glad to see this is getting more attention. Hopefully something will be changed with it sometime soon.

Bumping this again in the hopes of getting some attention. Please give Eternity a blade trail if nothing else. Been on this Eternity fix for the past 4 months, lets get this epic blade the attention it deserves!

I can definitely confirm that Eternity has not changed in any meaningful way. The removal of Sunrise’s body aura during night was a very minor thing. I’m glad some of the other legendaries were improved. Maybe one day there will be incentive to combine Twilight and Sunrise.

At present:

-No footprints for Eternity. Twilight and Sunrise both have these.
-Eternity changes appearances twice per day. Sunrise and Twilight can be swapped at any time.

I consider the missing footprints to be a bug. The other issue relates to the fact that there is no real benefit to the forging of Eternity. At its current state it is a penalty, not a reward.

They fixed the sunrise aura part but it does the opposite now and shows the twilight aura. I made a video of it here

It still needs some work. Hopefully it will get the attention it deserves.

Agreed. It seems that it was their intent to give eternity some different features so you could distinguish between the swords which makes sense. It is a real shame that they decided to take away some effects to achieve this. It really should keep the effects of twilight and sunrise at the very least. I think that is all we are really asking at this point. It would be much appreciated to receive a response. Right now I’m just left feeling I made a mistake making this sword and wishing I could uncombine them.

Still no fix for this as of the latest patch. And not to mention it is actually worse now than before…I made a quick clip to show the sword does the opposite of what i stated before now meaning when I un-sheath the sword it flashes the twilight aura instead and the sword is clearly sunrise. Not to mention that when I took this video I was about 30 minutes into night time in curse shore so my sword never changed from sunrise to twilight. Please please please fix this, i know something was changed with it because the sword is acting different but it is still so broken. I spent too much time making it to just sit back and watch other legendaries get more epic and eternity just gets left in the dust.

First of all, thank you so much for creating such a great game and I mean absolutely no disrespect by my following concern.
I would like to know if or when a fix for the legendary Eternity will come to be. I spent a lot of time making this sword and am a little disappointed by it’s broken and lack of effects. For starters there are no footsteps or bladetrails when thrown which both sunrise and twilight have. Also the day and night transition have problems. One of them in the video I am attaching shows the sword changing from day to night. At that moment it flashes the sunrise aura when twilight comes out. I have noticed that whenever you un-sheath the sword no matter the time the aura effect that surrounds you is the sunrise effect. I seriously would have just kept the 2 swords separate forever and swapped as I liked if this is the way it was meant to be. I would have even been able to live without those going towards my title. I as well as others who have this sword would really like to hear some good news we just want hope that it will be fixed as it really does seem like an unfinished legendary.

Here is the link to the vid i made of it, and at 36 seconds you can see when it pops from sunrise to twilight it flashes the sunrise aura when twilight comes out. I do agree there are a lot of legendaries lacking for sure so I am not taking away from that fact at all. I feel especially for those with the mace….

I have heard that Eternity was never meant to have footsteps or a blade trail and have also heard that there will be a patch coming in January that will fix this as well as some other Legendary items.
I Recently finished my Eternity after an almost 700 hour grind fest and am a little disappointed that it has not been fixed yet. I understand that there is other “important” matters in the game as well but this item took me and others a lot of time to create and I for one would like it to be as epic as possible.
There are other obvious flaws with eternity specifically being the day/night transitions which lead me to believe that it is an unfinished product currently. For example, when you un-sheath your sword during the night time while the sword is Twilight the Sunrise aura effect surrounds you instead of the twilight aura for that split second.
I can not find anywhere in most forums I have visited to validate that there will be a fix. i am here seeking an answer from a Dev and not just pure speculation.
I appreciate any helpful information that follows
