Myself and a few in-game pals have just began growing a guild!
I do have a dislike for those guilds that are all like “if you don’t play for 7 hours a day and dedicate it only to this guild and must give us 92% of all your money earnt you will be kicked”.

No, this is a guild of decent people, who game, enjoy their game, play when they can, as much as they want!
We message each other when we’re on and help each other out if we’re not busy!

Jeez, thanks for all the super fast replies, see i’ve tried lfg, i mean i’ve literally stood for hours at the gates of arah searching through other lfg and with my own, nobody, and i mean nobody is willing to help! that’s why i took to here!

C’mon kind souls, give me a hand

Evening everyone,
I’m a level 80 ele, looking for a group of kind souls to help me take down zhaitan, it’s impossible to solo the dammed mission!
I would happily give 1 Shiny Gold each to you after for helping me,
Using the LFG system i just find people wanting 6G to dungeon rush it in 5 minutes.
I dont wanna comb every inch of the dungeon, just enjoy my finale in the personal story and sadly i can’t to it alone!

I am so glad i am not the only one!
i talk to Thearene and get the end speech after the first preistess and can force the other mobs to turn up but no advancement! i had the whole morning of nothing to do at work and intended to blaze through and get to Zhaitan!! Can anyone at least tell us when we will get a fix for this roughly??

and finally, it works on win 8.1, running from a usb.
somehow my game must have become corrupt?

Hey guys, thanks again for the replies! .
Tech support: when i ran off the windows 7 it said the game wasn’t configured to run on a 32 bit operating system (making me think it may be the 64 version. BUT it wasn’t it was actually 32bit)
i checked all the permissions and nothing had been changed.
redownloaded game and it works! now updating to win8.1 again and will comment if it still runs!!

I normally run on the surface pro tablet, win8 and 8.1 never any issues,
since this morning i have tested on two win 8 pc’s, 1 win 8.1 and 1 win7 pc. none of which work,
(same game files and application as i have always ran it off a usb to save space on my computer ((and it’s portable))!!
My internet is beyond terrible so im still re-downloading wondering if its the game file now,

I first got GW2 When it came out, Played it on a windows 7 laptop with minor lag but fine,
THEN, upgraded to windows 8 when it came out. Guess what. RAN FINE
no lag, okay yes i need to have it on the lowest resolution (criminal i know), but i cant afford a decent machine, either way, it runs fine, no lag, no issues, no bumps. then last night i get home from work ready to play. hit open and i get the message appear

“This app cannot be opened on your pc.
check software provider for another version”

i’ve not updated my pc, i’ve not changed anything. this morning i put GW2 on my work pc. a beast of a machine which can handle it fine and i received the same message???

i changed the compatability to windows 8, and windows 7 on both pc’s to see if that makes a difference,
Factory reset my laptop and that doesn’t work,
currently reinstalling, but it didn’t work at my shop so i doubt that’ll make a difference!!!

does Windows 8 suddenly not run GW2??
Anybody help please, if i cant get it working i wont be able to play again because there’s no way in hell i can afford a new machine
