First off I am so extremely disappointed that I cannot use great sword in spvp.

Second – your build looks very interesting and I will definitely try it out tonight. How will you deal with block spammers though?

Worked fine for me, completed on first attempt two days ago. Got hit by a rock too. I admit the updrafts were hard to see but when I got hit by the Rock and was on the ground they were quite visible.

P.S. I wanted to add – using a cavalier build with blighters boon and soloing camps in wvw is extremely fulfilling. I realize it is not tough to do but I have seen groups of people stressing about fighting the supervisor and running away when with this build you literally go into the middle and face tank everything.

I would definitely say that blighters boon needed to be nerfed as its current state is so extremely powerful now I almost feel god-like at times. And even though spite/soul reaping/reaper is a common build, I still very rarely see people running it as I think many players of this class tend to prefer ranged in general.

Before the patch I ran dual daggers lol. So, it is nice to have a real melee weapon.

I love this route, I have done it as well. It is nice being a tank with 210% ferocity and 100% crit in shroud. I only have exotic gear so far but it feels very powerful.

I use the spectral armor skill, Rise, and whatever for third utility.

If I were really good I would try to use vampiric signet and pop it right before shroud. Then I would get 5-6 seconds life steal on the boss and by the time shroud wore off it would be recharged.

I have been using the healing shout and it is good for building life force but I found between spectral armor and great sword spam I get life force back quickly enough as it is.

Are there even any? I’ve checked reddit and here and there are no listings for these items.

I guess I disagree on current shield skills being useful at all.

For the protection boon, hammer does it better and longer.
For the aoe reflect, in dungeons it ruins aoe dps and in Wvw it doesn’t help against gtaoe.

Also if you really wanted to reflect stuff, shield spirit weapon is much better, or even traited wall of reflection. All in all, what the shield currently does sucks compared to other options.

I know this has been hashed to death but really, shield and focus need to be switched.

Isn’t it odd that the people who want to use defensive abilities, I.e. a shield, are forced to pick a crummy looking focus instead of a beautiful shield graphic?

Secondly, the shield skills just plain suck.

Third, I have envy for all the warriors that can use a shield and have it do what it should do.

What priority is this?

When is the ETA for it to be fixed?

I get asked questions like these every day at work. It’s been two weeks now since the last post about it.

You really need to make this a weekly/daily update, this is a catastrophic bug. It needs to be fixed.

Please give us some support and I will continue to plunk money into this game. Already spent $100+ so far.

I know that signet mastery doubles the amount of time of retaliation when you activate this signet instead of increasing the passive 10% less damage taken buff.

So. Has anyone had the chance to test this signet and find out if you are really taking 10% less damage? I “think” that it might be working but it could all be in my head.

Um you’ve got to be smoking crack. I have it traited to chill every time it does blindness and it is extremely powerful.

Moonthrower. That isn’t the issue. A simple crash shouldn’t kick you out for, oh let’s see, 3+ hours now. My computer is like a bull, it is massive and powerful and it doesn’t have problems.

um.. generally our own world’s battleground is the lowest pop and that is the one I am queued for…

This needs to get fixed. NOW.

I already got queued up and then due to one crash that takes 10 seconds to get logged back in, I am waiting for HOURS?

I think you guys need to make this issue your top priority. Nothing else is quite as broken as this is.

300-600 range before enemies pop up on my screen now. Nothing changed on my end.

Most of my guildies are complaining about this as well.

Even if we had bad fps, we could at least determine that there were enemies out there.

Now we have no idea until suddenly you are surrounded by red names and shortly thereafter you are dead.

I think whatever change was made was wrong, and I know I for one (and my guild mates) would rather stick with the excessive lag than have to deal with invisible players & fireballs.

Is there an update on this and do we have an ETA on when it will be solved?
