Hello everyone,
I’m rather new in the whole playing the tp and flipping items business so I’m still learning.
I was casually flipping some low level crafting materials when I noticed something odd happening to the regular scales price. I was just buying cheap and selling higher for a meager profit but suddenly the sell listings price dropped by 20%. I don’t have that much money to be fair but I immediatly started buying these low sell listings to make a bigger profit of my own. However I ran out of cash as the amount of scales that were being put up on these low sell listings were enormous. Subsequently the buy listings all went down as well.
Now I checked GW2Spidy (http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/24286) and noticed the same kind of thing happening yesterday. What should I make of this? Is this a common tactic to manipulate these items for a short while to make a bigger profit if you have the means to do this? And what should I do now with my huge amount of scales :P, just wait it out and ride the bandwagon as this person will probably flip everything back to raise the price again in the short future?
Ty for the help
Hiya,
I was toying around with some Necro builds and noticed there were a lot of traits with a heal/support feel to them. I’m only a low level necro and came up with something which looks fun but am left wondering if it’s actually viable in anyway for dungeons for example.

Basic idea is to use staff marks and focus #4 & #5 to help my team out with regen and condition clearing and what not from a range. Pop #7 to get into melee quick when people are taking huge chunks of damage to pop my wells for healing and regeneration from Well of Blood and protection from all Wells + condition clearing. Pop Axe #3 as well for retaliation. If people are doing okay by then, teleport back with 7 and go back to staff and marks spam. If not then pop death shroud which adds weakness (and bleeding) to enemies, limiting their damage even further. Then pop life transfer for aoe healing and leave death shroud for more healing. By that time Im hoping well of blood will be up again and I have to retreat to safety.
That’s the way I play it out in my head but I have no clue if the death shroud healing is worth traiting into for instance. Open for any suggestions or changes as well, but Im not looking for your standard power well build or anything as Ive seen those. I was really wondering if the support role goes well with this kind of build.
Also gearwise, i’d have no clue what to gear. Precision/Toughness/Healing Power? Power/toughness/healing power maybe?
Thanks
The Coated Bullets trait says pistol shots though, not pistol skills. Considering Sylvari Engineer racial turrets get benefits from turret traits you’d think so would the Charr :/
Can any charr engineer tell me if they work together? Does the Hidden Pistols toolbelt skill pierce when traited in pistols? Or does it benefit from the reduced recharge time?
Are you sure Strength VI will end up being a bigger dmg increase than V?
I have no clue how much damage V does, but I’m not going to be spending much time with 3 adrenaline bars as I’ll be spending my adrenaline asap all the time.
I agree with Arms XI probably being better, you’re right about the boss fights.
As for Condition Removal I was hoping the trait in Shrug it off would be enough, but I’m guessing not then, too bad :/
Thanks for the input!
Hi,
(Too long didn’t read summary at the bottom)
First of all I’ve been trying to figure out whether I want to play a ranger or a warrior. I seem to like ranger utility skills more than warrior since I love trapping etc and the combo fields that come with them and the warrior utility skills seem a bit “boring” to me. Then again I tremendously hate having to control a pet, and since they seem to be a big part of the ranger class in GW2 I really don’t know where to go with this. I mainly just want to play with a class that can use bows effectively, which leads into my question about warriors since they can use a longbow as well.
I’ve found very little information about viable longbow builds as the longbow in general seems to be a somewhat underrepresented weapon. So I tried coming up with my own build that would use a longbow and now my question to you guys is if something like this could/would be viable in dungeons etc (I know it probably wont be in WvW or sPvP but I don’t mind that, I’ll run other builds there)

The basic idea for me was to be a hybrid between dps’ing and providing party support through banners buffs. I’d drop the longbow fire field to use blast finishers on the banners and arcing arrow and provide area might stacks. For my own dps I’d switch to dual wield swords as with the longbow comes fire condition dmg and the swords provide a lot of bleeds, which again counts as condition dmg. This syncs well with the might buffs too as they provide bonus condition dmg next to power.
Due to my little knowledge of warriors however I have no clue where to go from there. Signet of Rage seems like a good elite choice for me again due to might stacks and due to being able to get more adrenaline to get the LB finisher off asap. As for a third utility skill, I have no clue if balanced stance is a good choice or if there’s a better choice (like “For Great Justice” for example), so I’m very much open to suggestions here. Same goes for the runes as I have very little knowledge of these.
So in short: is the build, with longbow, in the link viable to play in dungeons as it is, or perhaps with minor adjustments?
Thanks for reading
