The Thief skill Shadow Refuge makes these skill points very easy and lasts longer than the Spy Kits if I remember correctly.

Run up to the skill point, cast Shadow Refuge, start communing.

I am a terrible Thief but used this trick on quite a few of the communing skill points in Orr. It made map completion very easy.

Another option, that I’ve used before, is take a friend that can kite the mobs away from the skill point while you run in and grab it.

Of course if you can complete the temple events with Yamagawa and Sarahfull you wont have to worry about any of these tricks.

The Ash Legion Spy Kit also works well for communing with the Balth and Grenth temple skill points if playing solo, and you aren’t a Thief.

Dive under the water by the heart in the cave there. There is a tunnel though to a Hylek camp and the POI.

Same thing has happened to me today.

I was on 4/5 completed and was doing Veteran killer… I killed the the last veteran and leveled up at the same time putting me up to on 6/5 and didn’t receive the chest or laurel. (Actually it’s 7/5 now, as I killed a champ in FoTM.)

I’m on Sea of Sorrows, playing from New Zealand, and have been getting terrible lag since last weekend (9th/10th). I was disconnected 3 times within 10 minutes yesterday.
It’s become pretty much unplayable with actions taking anywhere from 2 to 30 seconds to activate. I’ve been playing since beta and it’s never been this bad before.

What if they added a new crafting trade called Party Planner or something? You could craft themed town clothes (e.g. pirate, zombie, Santa-elf), transmogrification tonics, fireworks, etc…
