You might consider leveling to 80 in EoTM’s karma train before “starting” to play your character for real because the new trait system makes leveling really tedious (e.g. no traits until level 30).
What is EoTM’s karma train?
It’s Edge of the Mists in WvW. People run around in large groups capturing keeps, killing the bosses and farming lots of karma and items. Some people find it less boring that leveling. What it won’t do is teach you your profession at all. You’ll be level 80 depending on a zerg to keep you alive.
It’s not bad to do for a level or 2, but I wouldn’t recommend leveling like that all the time. Use it to break up PvE when you’re bored.

i had the same problem.i made a guardian lvl up to max lvl with hearts exploration and doing the random events.Then i was max lvl and didnt group up for anything and also havent done a single dungeon/instance whatever is called as i was leveling(since everyone wants max lvl players).Thats not fun at all for me.I dont like pvp so i returned to some other mmo i play.I dont think that this game is for me.For a b2p game is good but nothing more.

The hearts aren’t the heart of the game. ^^ They were actually added late in development to add structure to the areas. People didn’t know what to do and where to go. The true heart of the PvE areas are the events. Those will occur around you as you go through an area. They may be marked by an orange circle on the map or an orange starburst icon over an NPCs head. If an NPC runs up to you and speaks to you, they probably have an event they want you to do. Named NPCs often are tied to events. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Events
There is WvW. You can reach it by clicking on the castle icon on your UI or the Asuran gates in Lion’s Arch or by the letter B on the keyboard. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_versus_World

participate in the current living story episode ?did you try out World vs World ?
did you try out Structured Player vs Player ?
Yeah I did do the personal story and a little bit of WvW at level 80 but not that much.
Ok so I bought guild wars 2 because everyone says how great it is and everyone says how it is so much different then any other mmorpg because of no boring quests but I feel like I just go to an area do all the “hearts” (which seem a lot like boring quests to me) and then move on to the next area. There was a few cool bosses here and there but for the most part it was walking around the map finishing “hearts” so am I playing the game wrong is there a better way is there a way for it to be more enjoyable or maybe do I just not like the game as much as some others I did get to level 80 and I thought it was not bad but not as good as most people say it is but that was a long time ago so I thought I would try a new character but I wanted to see if I could make it a little bit more enjoyable.
