More searching and I’ve found a lot of people with the same problem in a variety of games, but no fixes. It seems to be a long standing issue. I borrowed my daughter’s Naga for a raid last night and had no problems so I think I’ll go back to Razer and and consider this thread closed!

I’ve had this problem off and on for a while now. While playing, the pointer will occasionally stop interacting with the UI.

Examples:
Can’t click on buttons
Can’t move windows
Hover text doesn’t show up
Can’t click in the options menu
Can rclick / lclick and hold to move camera
Can hold both mouse buttons to move forward

This happens with and without action camera – though if it happens with action camera on, it basically disables action camera, and action camera cannot be enabled while the problem persists.

I’m sometimes able to ‘fix’ it by alt tabbing to the desktop and back but it usually takes several attempts (not good on a raid or in pvp).

It happens on all of my characters, but I can’t find what specifically causes it. Just now it happened when I clicked the inventory gear to deposit materials. Re-spawning after death seems to be a frequent but not consistent time as well. It happens frequently enough (3-6 times in a Stronghold match) that I’m considering switching to a different mouse to see if that resolves the problem

I’ve done a fresh OS reinstall, a fresh game reinstall and all drivers are up-to-date. Currently the only things I’ve installed since the OS reinstall are Photoshop, Bridge and Chrome (No the Adobe apps are not pirated).

Folks, You need to set your underwater legends to something other than Glint. That is the cause, because they no longer work underwater and bug out.

As Cyninja said, you can fix this by swapping legends.

For bear easy mode I’d suggest the Murellow. It’s a bear that looks more like a hideous, fur-less dog. It has a nice AE poison attack (F2) and I don’t think mine has ever died.

You’ll get bored pretty quick with easy mode – when you do I’d switch to the cats. You’ll be surprised how much faster they help you kill (not like WoW). Or, you could stick with the bear and just grab several mobs at once. I like to do this with an Axe / Torch combo – I trait for my Winters bite (axe 3) to be AE, drop constant fire fields (torch / trap) and it’s a little more interesting. You could absolutely do this with a cat too – just keep an eye on it’s health or split the difference with a drake.

Honestly, it’s more fun to just mix it up. I think there’s enough consensus in this thread that you know what to fall back to when you run into a Champ – otherwise, you can play around and really not be in any kind of trouble.
