Welcome to EOTM 2.0. This map is way too large. The travel time between areas means fights will never happen, just constant karma training.
Also, as a thief, there are so many places that I cant use my shortbow 5 skill that I should be able to. Like the bridges in the current WvW maps, but much much worse.

With the new changes, steal and use bundle have become two separate keys. Now when you steal your stolen bundle will be in the second profession skill slot for your thief!
I would love to hear other opinions and thoughts on this idea!
This looks like a very good idea. It would be somewhat similar to commands one could give to Heroes in the GW1 expansions. I think a color for each teammate would be somewhat useful as well (so you can know who is pinging without their having to type it out), and also allow only 1 ping from each player over a period of time (like 1 ping/3s or so—maybe less—in the case of accidentally placed pings) to avoid that incessant rapid pinging people have a tendency to do. (I myself have been guilty of such when frustrated, although I make a conscious effort to refrain from doing so.) The ping could linger or pulse slowly on its own actually…
I strongly agree that there needs to be a limit to the amount of pings over a period of time. I also have the habit of spamming pings (only for my team to not know what they mean because of the limited system), and I know how annoying it can be. I think the color idea for players is interesting, but may be too complicated. I think instead it could flash the player name or the class of the player (a small icon similar to the ones on the forum).
They (I think it was Justin) talked about this once before, but I completely agree.
You should be able to ping:
- Come here/help
- I am on my way to this spot
- Stay away from this spot
- Enemy inc to this spotOf course, top teams will still have an advantage with TS, but this would help very much with casual play.
I like all of these ideas! I agree that TeamSpeak eliminates the need for most of these pings. However, for people that do hot joins or even only queue with 2-4 in TeamSpeak, these pings could improve game play tremendously. I would be happy with even two different color pings like the ones we have now. One for “I’m on my way” and one for “Stay Away” to start with.

Guild Wars 2 needs a better pinging system for not only PvP, but also WvW and even PvE. Instead of one red ping that could mean literally anything, a system similar to League of Legends should be used. In my opinion, at minimum we need a way to ping the following on the mini map:
-On my way (to let your teammates know where you are going, obviously)
-Use causation, back off, stay away (to let teammates know to not take a fight, or back off of a point)
These two pings alone could tremendously improve gameplay. Holding out 1v1 at home and not sure if anyone is coming? There is now a ping for that. Have one teammate trying to 4v1 at mid? There is now a ping to tell them to leave.
I hope you all like my idea!
Come watch some gw2!
Why are you changing only the light armor? The medium armor (Flamewalker) is exactly the same as the invaders armor set! Personally I think the coat and shoulders look terrible, and it is disappointing that it is the same skin I already had.
It would be great if you changed this one too and not just the light armor skin, which only resembles the Tier 3 Human Cultural.
