Very Simple:

1. Experience & Karma from events and monsters
2. Blooms should be based on total map event completion
3. Stacks only count towards participation, i.e. > 5 stacks will give full rewards
4. Blooms should scale with total map event completion and given to all who have gained enough stacks to be marked as participated
5. Rewards should be attainable without grinding. Either increase blooms (based on total map event completion) or lower blooms required for rewards.

There are some negatives, like a few might go afk, but it is far better to encourage team play and show what GW2 is about rather than tag and run.

This is a step in the right direction.

I’ve been grinding away at it for 60+ hours now and still nothing. However, I would still support this as long as there was some way of guaranteeing a beta slot. For example, after 100 Gold rank event completions in SW/DT you automatically get a portal. This would guarantee that only active players get into beta without endless farming. Of course the random portal drops should be kept, with an even lower drop rate if desired.

More than 25 hours now. Nothing. I’ve only seen two people get it in the same instance as me though.

No chest for me either. This is really disappointing.

Same thing happened to me, I was being really careful and still no achievement.

You’re right, it was lying there…very weird. I did this on another character and I noticed that the message “You have received a fragment of Scarlet’s Journal.” actually shows up 6 times.

I received 4 of the 5 Scarlet Briar’s Journal Fragments, however when I opened the last chest, my inventory slots were full, so I did not immediately pick up the last one. I cleared my slots, then picked it up, but the fifth fragment was not added to my inventory. Now, I have 4 fragments, and no matter which chest I open I can not get the last fragment. I have not seen this happen with other items when my inventory was full.
