Nice to see you come along! A shame the private message feature on the forums weren’t working.. I might have to look into that. We could always use more heralds and chronos, in raids!
In addition, we wouldn’t mind helping you get familiar with raids! As of now, we currently raid twice a week, though soon that could be up to three days!

@Zeitsturm, It’s an honor to sound like the guild you’ve been looking for! We’ll be more than happy to have you in raids, even if experience is something you worry about. It’s kind of funny how raid groups these days are almost like trying to find a job.. you can’t find a raid group without experience and you can’t get experience without a raid group!

In any case, I have sent the both of you a pm on what to do next as you guys proceed in your journey to become experienced raiders in ETOP!

Bump Update!

As of the past three months, we have received a large influx of well-skilled and passionate raiders. Along with these raiders were other new faces as well, even a tempest with less than 900 AP!

ShadeSWG now leads raids in the guild as an inquisitor. And as a result, we’ve begun revamping the guild to support more raiding and a larger community. (New guild logo!)

In addition, we have created a new raider rank that includes exclusive access to a storage of helpful raid food and useful materials.

Like you, many of us have come to Tyria to have fun, and that’s exactly what Treefolk for the Ethical Treatment of Plantlife strives for. We’re a classic, close-knit community of scrubs who value quality over quantity. In our spare time, we enjoy running fractals daily after reset, helping lowbies through dungeons and raiding a few times every week.

Composed of a circle of around ~17 active players, we’re currently a level 36 guild, doing missions once a week usually over the weekend for favor and commendations. 100% rep is NOT required.

Our most active times are as follows:
6pm-2am EST
5pm-1am CST
2pm-10pm PST

Recently, trouble has been brewing to the west, ever so closer to the bloodstone. Giant reptilian sloths await and mysteries to be discovered. But of course, we can’t do it alone! We’re currently seeking enthusiastic raiders who are patient, kind and don’t mind facing a challenge. All we ask is that you be familiar with your class; know what is optimal for it’s maximum potential. We value skill, rather meta builds, and as a result, we do not enforce the meta in raids. Yes, we’d rather raid with a player who’s played a single build/class for two hundred hours over a player who plays the best build for twenty on every class.

For communication, we use Discord as a hangout, forum and even casual RP. Yes, you got that right, RP. If you love using voice comms, chances are you might get along with us a lot easier!

We LOVE new players! Especially those who are willing to learn. Our guild is hosted on the Tarnished Coast North American server.

Welcome our newest members Tricky, the reaper and Serafyna, the druid-in-training! Had a ton of fun introducing them to the wonderful world of explorable dungeons, and look forward to potentially raiding with them someday.
It’s been three months since we’ve closed recruitment, and we’ve reached a whopping 35 members! Now as the winter season comes to a close, we’re thawing out from our small slumber and getting ready to raid once again!

Hey there! Nice to meet you! Necros are SO great to run with, seriously, (I don’t know what the fuss is all about with them) I play thief with a full on life steal build and vampiric aura just makes the difference between life an death for me haha! Are you planning to try out reaper? I can easily see them being the new DPS class at the rate things are going. Its really a good thing you have prior raid experience too! Maybe you can help us out with some old strategies or past experiences!

Nothin’ like a good ol’ Bump Update!

Welcoming our newest recruit, teegees to the guild, we’re quickly approaching our healthy number of active players. It’s really heartwarming to see all the new initiates already coming out of their comfort zones, as the day we all work together towards a common goal draws ever nearer. They become full members in a matter of days! Time flies so fast!
Last night we decided to try to take on Lupicus (no exploits!) and actually struggled a bit dodging the grub touch the first time around. After a few more tries we quickly established what everyone’s role was (..and also received a helping hand from teegees as soon as he logged in to join us!).
Being the squishy thief, I ended up being the poor fellow that drew the boss’s aggro all over the room as everyone else tried to get everyone up from down state. My god, I was blasting those pistols for life siphon like there was no tomorrow! …and even managed to survive a bit until I’d eventually fall down and couldn’t get up till Drux’s nomad warrior came to save the day! xD

The meta my friends, is changing at an alarming rate. NOMAD warrior?!
…like who even comes up with this stuff anyway? :P Save gold/hr with zerk? or save your friends with nomads?

So much activity! We’re doing more dungeons every day! Three-manned a fractal after Seventh finally got his thoughtless potion. Definitely a good time to start learning the other three paths of Arah. Path 2 is starting to go a little too smoothly xD.

Ran Arah P2 today for the hell of it! Apparently Seventh found a “hidden” path to skip nearly 70% of the mines and we ended up finishing the dungeon a little under an hour. Also stoked to find out my p/p thief build synergized a little to well with Breach’s Vampiric Aura trait! Vampiric Aura with Signet of Malice, Sigil of Blood, Invigorating precision and Omnomberry Pies make for quite a tanky thief build xD Talk about front line time! Literally get about 25% of my health back per heartseeker on 10 stacks of might Maybe a viable build?

We also got three new members! At this point it’s safe to say we’re over halfway to out goal! Things are finally starting to look up around here in ETOP.

[ETOP] Treefolk for the Ethical Treatment of Plantlife is looking for skilled members of their profession, who are patient, kind and are always eager to seek a higher challenge.

We are a close knit, rep not enforced dungeoning/(soon to raid) guild.
Our daily activities include sometimes under-manning dungeons because they’re fun, not for the speedclear, but instead for the challenges we accomplish together as a team. Other times we like to try out ridiculously horrendous builds/builds that look cool and try to use them effectively.

In ETOP, there is no “berserker” meta. Instead the strength of our members come from the mastery of their own build, NOT how fast they can down an enemy.

We believe this mindset, as well as build diversity is the key to achieving victory in the upcoming raids.

4-manned a scale 35 tonight with Silver, Arora, Seventh and I! Got Ascalon, Frostbite (worst fractal ever), Asuran (seventh literally soloed the last boss!) and Molten Duo
Was a ton of fun. Learned how to work together to keep each other alive. Tons of clutch moments xD
Will be doing some of the Mordrem event tomorrow. Stay tuned for more bump updates!

In ETOP, we value skill over build. We believe that to judge someone based on their AP or equipment is wrong. We should be accepting of people that are dedicated and passionate. In the past we have fostered a community of people eager to learn, and now we’re looking for people who’d like to teach with us.

Our guild level is currently 36. Missions are every Sunday @ 3pm EST with a guild alliance [DMoS]. We raid 3-4 times a week at reset. Tuesdays are our teaching nights, Friday and Saturdays are our progression nights. With the recent influx of many enthusiastic raiders, we are now recruiting people who want to lead a team of their own.

Although we might sound scary, we love new players! Especially those who are willing to learn. Our guild is hosted on the North American Tarnished Coast server.

Our main form of VOIP is over Discord, which also serves as a forum and hangout. We are generally an odd bunch, but if you like weird, you’ve come to the right place! Joining us on discord during active times will help us get to know you way better, and who knows! Maybe we’ll become friends!
