So during the yesterday’s stress test I have tried my best to test Mirage in open world… and results are quite underwhelming. To me it is like adding Mirage to basic Mesmer is actually downgrade in many ways:

— loss of movement is TERRIBLE – I was getting hit by AoE’s all the time while on any other class I would be simply outside of the AoE thanks to normal dodge

I felt in love with core fresh air ele(scpeter/focus) but thief/mesmer make my life a nightmare especially in wvw.
Do you have some tips against them? or do i have to deal with it and be aware to not be OS.

Dealing with thieves can be really frustrating as a Fresh Air Ele, but can be really satysfying beating them in duels.

Against Condi Thief is a patience game, you should take the sigil of cleansing and spam “Magnetic Wave” (Earth Focus number 4) to cleanse their condi.

Thieves who aren’t using pistol instead, are quite easy to take down. Try to root them in place with Arcane Blast, while attuned to earth (Hoping you have the right trait in the Arcana tree) and then use your normal burst combo + Phoenix, you should be able to melt them in a matter of second.

Save your “Obsidian Flesh” while you’re almost dead, since they will try to burst you down, and then it’s the right moment when to hit, 3 seconds are more than enough to melt them!

Magnetic wave have a long cooldown,you can’t spam it.

You can’t root a thief.(they cleanse all moblity condi with evade so…)

I don’t know what kind of thief you fight but mine just go in stealth and literraly one shot me.

In a duel with /bow you can prepare yourself but in wvw they came from nowhere you don t even have the time to use obsidian flesh.
