Guild Wars 2

So as a new player i’m lacking a bit of the gear for WvWvW.

I’ve heard that ascended gear should be the best. I also found the vendor, but it seems he only sells amulets/rings/trinkets etc and such stuff but not armor(as in chest, legs, hands) or weapons.
So my question is:

Where do you get the BiS gear for WvWvW?

Also have do you obtain Globs of Ectoplasm to buy stuff?

If possible I would like to be told more in details on how to obtain it, because I have not play for around 1 year.

I haven’t played for around a year or even more, cannot remember entirely :P

Returning player just turned back for more WvWvW action.

I haven’t played for about a year so a few questions.

- What currency is used to buy gear
- What changed gameplay wise?
- How and where do you obtain the gear nowadays?
- Anything else I need to know(I might’ve forgotten a few things)
