Hiho guys & girls.
After playing some time with the new tool there are some things that I wanted to point out.
1. Differentiation between Explorable and Story Mode.
Why doesn’t it exist? There are some groups that don’t write anything into the description. How am I supposed to know what Mode (or Path) they want to take?2. Any Punishments?
a) When I tried to get into a dungeon many players joined and left some seconds after that and we had so search again – every kitten time. Thats pretty annoying for the teamleader so I wanted to know if this is at least punished (in some sort of way that is actually meaningful.)
b) Everything went smooth and then one person made a mistake and we wiped at the last boss. No problem. We respawned and were on our way back when somebody said something along the lines of “Is this your first time?!” and left the group. After that 2 more people left – including the one that opened the group and went into the dungeon.
Thats idiotic and childish. Is there any punishment for that?3. More Categories
Farm-Groups? Level-Groups? Quest-Groups? Anything along those lines?
It would be really awesome if there were an additional Category for Level and Area. So that I can search for an partner if I don’t want to clear the Cursed Shore alone. (For example.)
Oh and WvWvW. Please.4. Language or Server-Settings
I found no way to say “I only want to play with people from my country.” or “Only people that can speak the language X.” and thats kind of bad or disappointing.
I know many people that can’t speak English for example. How are they supposed to work with their group? They simply can’t.5. The last one is a Question: Can people that I ignored join my or at least see my group? Because I personally think that would be… not good.
Greetings

1/ Yes, a mandatory distinction between story and explorable definitely needs to happen. While you can just type it a lot of people don’t which leads to confusion over which mode they are actually running.
2/ I don’t think there should be any punishments as such, maybe a cool down period like a limit to how many times you can use the group finder in an hour or something.
3/ Although this is not for WvW there is a tab for open world content such as farming/levelling groups in the living story section. Same for personal story, you can pretty much make any group you want.
4/ Language preference is needed, although I’ve not had much trouble with this LFG I have had some issues with groups previously. But a major problem I’ve had with language in the past with gw2lfg is people who type their LFG’s out in English only to speak German all the way through the dungeon.
5/ I would like to know this, but it can be good or bad. Swtor’s group finder has a similar system but because the population is so low and server tied you kind of have everyone ignoring everybody else and queue times end up being slower as a result. With this game there wouldn’t be any issue because of cross server and role less queueing, although elitists are likely to abuse this.
