Don’t buy on Saturdays, sell on Saturdays.
Had the same thing happen to me today… der terk mer merny!
This ^
My only regret was not making more money/getting into the TP business earlier.
Yup, I’ve noticed this as well. TP doesn’t seem to be LIFO anymore. Also, after being on TP for a while today I’ve seen quite a lot of undercutting. Can anyone confirm it is FIFO?
I was thinking/tossing ideas around to make a traders guild where we just trade ideas and tell one another about what’s making a profit in TP. It’d have to be smaller than a usual guild to lessen free loaders and I don’t plan to make it into a gold making machine (at least not anytime soon). Constructive inputs would be nice and whether it’s something you would join.
After the recent patch I’ve noticed that I don’t sell items as quickly as I could before and it seems we are now in a FIFO system. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
I was recently in game and someone mentioned that there were suits in GW1. My question is would you guys like suits in GW2? I know I do.
Has ANET ever come forwards and said that this is working as intended ?
Because, had I not known about the sales tax and I saw it in action, I would be complaining in the bug forum.
Yeah, I went to the very first posts in this section and an AN guy acknowledged the 10% selling fee
Don’t sell at a loss? Calculate the 15% tax or get the android app that does it for you. Also, if you really want to save money don’t use way points or use them sparingly and buy tools with karma.

Wrong forum section. Has been posted before.
I have not had this problem and I haven’t seen anyone in chat say something similar. I would say contact support.
Gamer Guy
No, I don’t believe there is, but there is a suggestion section and a bugs section; though bug seems more appropriate to me.
(> ^ – ^ ) >
You should actually post this in the suggestions page of the forum. Though, it would just be considered spam because this idea has been posted before. Thanks for your input though, the more people talk about it the sooner we will get this feature.*
*I hope
TL;DR most of them, but yes the tax should be explicitly stated somewhere.
wrong forum section
For a few of these things the reason because stuff it under valued is because a few people are still at lower levels and don’t bother with things like mystic coins and just sell it.
Short Answer: you sold it at a loss.
There is a 15% tax (to put it simply) on anything you sell. I believe it’s for gold sink purposes.
The second item should have been sold at 5s 58c a piece to break even and higher to make a profit.
If you have an android device download GW2 Trade Post Calculator it’ll help you a great deal. I don’t know if it’s for iOS.
For the first part of your post you said that you only received 4g somethin’ somethin’ that’s because there’s a 15% tax (to put it simply) on anything you sell. As for not receiving any money after it shows it was sold idk. Sorry for your loss.
I just recently started trading and was wondering if 50 silver an hour is a good start and if any one had any tips? Also, I’m only playing around on the market with one gold if that’s important.
I decided not to do it. I’ll just make an investment guild Black Lion Investments something like that I just need more gold to start it
Hi there, Fox here.
I looked for some market trends and found http://www.gw2spidy.com he (I think) has some very great information and graphs on market trends for a lot if not all things currently for sale. His website is very much worth checking out. One more thing to check out would be the android app GW2 Trade Post Calculator (free and idk if its for IOS as well) very useful it calculates the 15% tax among other things.
So, I was wondering if anyone, or enough people, would be interested in seeing market trends for the top items in BLTP? I would post a weekly news bulletin sorts of how items prices changed day to day (sell orders and buy orders) and whether or not they moved up in categories. Also, I would post what I found to be most profitable like a top five sort of thing and those trends. I’m planning to do this for my own benefit, but if people are interested I’ll post. Lastly, if you guys and girls have any suggestions as to what I should add don’t hesitate to ask.
PS. For anyone starting out in trading sell your copper ore(http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/19697) and buy iron ore(http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/19699). As more and more people level their crafting they’ll want the higher tier crafting materials. Obvious for some but not for all.
