ok my guess is the same problem im having. I run Gw2 and nothing happens but the client shows up in task manager. I tried uninstalling but the machine reads that a client is running and wont proceed until it is shut down. Funny aye? So i put in a ticket and after several attempts for them to figure out whats going on a GM had me create a new user account on my comp. So i did and GW2 works again and the launcher appeared there for it is now a windows issue and i was told they can no longer help me and i should seek a local professional to fix my problem. Here is what they wrote.

Thank you for that update.

At this time we do not troubleshoot Windows related issues. The game client worked without any issues on the new user which lets us know that the client is not corrupted or damaged. You may need to continue to log into the new user you created to play the game until you are able to get the issue with your user account resolved.

If you would like assistance resolving the issue with your user account, I would suggest seeking the help of a local professional.

Did you get this resolved? Same thing just happened to me.

I just got home from work. Fired up GW2 as usual running it as administrator. The launcher opened fine, Dled the update. I got as far as the char select screen and then it closed without warning. Now when i try to run the launcher it comes up in task manager but not on my screen. I tried everything i could think of so i just decided to uninstall and then reinstall. Turns out it wont let me uninstall it cause it thinks there is a client running. So i opened my task manager and hit uninstall in the other window and every time i hit uninstall, another GW2.exe pops up in my task manager. My comp is running everything else just fine. I have win7. Any ideas?

Ok let me start off with saying this. My brother and I both live in northern Michigan but in different cities and both having same problem. 3 second chat lag in open world but skills still work fine. Slow loading trading post. Story mode instances so laggy they are unplayable, skills do not respond. Fps is 113 and running at 32mbs. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, another day of nothing but lag. Cant run an instance or even access the trading post. Even my chat has a 3 second delay. Great job Anet! Way to be on top of this. Get it fixed or all you will have left is the WvW players.

New build and its the same. Noticing also that the TP is extremely laggy.

Called a brother of mine and had him try a story mode and he made it about 30 seconds into it before lag then kicked.

I just tried story quest on a lower lvl and same thing. Horrible lag and finally and Lost connection to server error. Must have something to do with instances in general. Anyone else having trouble with story modes?

Yeah trying to do story quests and the lag is so bad the mobs are swinging at thin air and im taking the damage. No its not on my end. I have tried to complete the story quest anyways only to get kicked with a lost connection to server error. Fix this already.

CoF Speed Run

Hello, Slayer Dayzed here from Anvil Rock server. Just popping in to see if there was a standard rotation during timewarp and as far as trait build, its mostly obvious but there is 1 or 2 things I wasn’t sure about. My current build is 30/30/0/0/10 atm, using the master trait Heightened Focus in Discipline line and Last Chance 30 point trait in Arms. Now for rotation i was using Cyclone Axe>Eviscerate<Whirling Axe then weapon swap 100 Blades then auto attack and maybe another 100 Blades if theres time. If ya have any suggestions how to improve my damage let me know plz and thanks.
