Like the new hairstyles, so I went from typical “paladin” looking man, to this little lady.

So I just uninstalled the game.

I was probably gonna do it sooner or later anyway since I feel mmorpg is a waste of life. But I guess it became sooner than later with this patch. This whole treadmill thingy was what made me decide to do it now and be done with it.

I will never ever play another mmorpg since a company who base their game on no grind, treadmill etc even starts with it. So no way I am ever gonna find one. Feels good though. I am not angry or anything. I feel relieved.

Before I uninstalled I went to Queensdale with my 20 gold and played Hide and Seek. Whoever found me got the gold. Some kind of newbie who seemed very mature and nice got it. So that was fun.

Have not finished Assassins Creed 3 yet, and also have a ton of movies and other activites to do. Now I have the time and focus to do it all! I’m outa here!

I will give away all my gold and uninstall Guild Wars 2 later this afternoon. I am actually looking forward to it. Never another mmorpg for me since not even a game which main selling point is “no gear grind” can stick to that policy. I bought the game a few weeks ago. Not even 80 and just have several characters around level 30-40 and around 20g. I will leave just as fast as I got here.

Guess gear treadmill is unavoidable in mmo’s so I guess I will just stay as far away as possible from future mmo’s. Will focus on real life and console gaming instead.

I am having fun now though thinking of a fun way to give away my 20 gold. Hide and seek? Quiz? Keep me alive while naked running through a swamp? Hmm…

I played wow and stopped in the beginning of cata. I promised myself to never return to that game or even play another mmorpg again. But a few weeks ago I found out about Guild Wars 2. No subscription fee and no gear treadmill. I bought it the same day figured it was worth trying just based on that.

Now a few weeks later I see this. They are already releasing better gear and it’s all the same as any other mmo. I have not even made it to 80 yet and have several characters around level 30-40. I did not even make it to 80 before new and better stat gear was released. I already used 20 euro for gems and that is only after a few weeks of play. Who knows how much I would have used in a year? That is now money Anet will never have.

Now why in the world would I continue to play this game now? If I wanted to waste my life and grind for stats gears then I would have stayed in wow since they at least had world pvp which was the only reason I played the game. This game does not even have that and it is a worse game. But since there is no gear grind and it’s no subscription fee it is perfect for what I am looking for. The gear grind was the reason I left other mmo’s since that is just a big waste of my real and only life. Now this will turn in the same direction and now it is just another one of all those braindead gear grinds. I will leave this game just as fast as I bought it.

I must thank you Anet because this certainly made me stay away from mmorpg for the rest of my life. If a game which main selling point is “no gear progression” start to have just that. Then there is no hope to ever find another mmorpg that actually stick to no gear progression. So this was my last try of an mmorpg and I will now return to real life and only stick to a few hours of console gaming.

I honestly mean this: Thank you!
