Look, you aren’t going to win this. Not like this. You bought the game, lets round it to a static Sixty bucks. You purchased your right to play the game. You realised, buying it, that it’s an online, and ever changing piece of software. Do you know what happens when you buy something that changes? Heres a little scenario for you, a bit blunt, but should send the picture.
Grab a hammer. Grab a nail. Put the nail on a wall, put your thumb on the head of the nail, now hit the hammer on the nail, with your thumb inbetween.
Hurt, didn’t it? But you got the nail in the wall. Now, imagine someone coming up to you, and telling you that what you just did wasn’t right, and that it was their fault for not telling you, when you bought the hammer and nail, They aren’t able to help you with your thumb, but they teach you how to hammer in a nail properly. They fix it.
This might be an over stretched analogy, but in basis, TPs are the nail, your gold is the hammer, and the glitch is the thumb. You hit the glitch, but you still got to your destination.
There may be a chance your gold will come back.
But if you punch the guy out, despite him doing his best to help you, he’s not going to even give you ice for your thumb, as he was planning to.
Don’t punch A-net. You may have bought the game, but that dosen’t entitle you to anything more then another. Glitches happen. They are sorry that it happens, they are a buisness. It’s their job to fix these things. If it’s possible, they’ll restore your gold to you. But threatening to steal from them isn’t going to do it. They can take legal action.
How about you report the bug, and hope for the best? Yes, these things happen, and yes, it really sucks. There isn’t a whole lot you can do outside of reporting it, and assume worse case scenario; you won’t see the gold again. Complaining and threatening theft is not the way to do it. You report it, so that it can be fixed, and continue on, knowing you’ve done something to help improve the game. I wouldn’t be suprised if A-net banned you on principle for threatening theft.
I’ve been with the guild only a short time, but in that time, I’ve come to enjoy the members, I know this sounds like brown nosing, and it somewhat is. But! If you are seeking a military guild, especially in the Vigil sense, I agree with my predeccesor, this is indeed the guild to do it.
