I’ve been posting on this topic since they released them a bit early back before October and then promised them in the “next big update” (3 of which have happened to date depending on what you consider big update), and I’m not so much pissed off about how long they’re taking, as much as I’m upset that despite this massive thread consistently staying on the front page of the BLTC thread, no community manager will respond. Maybe they don’t even know themselves and it’s just a result of bad communication between programmers and community managers? Maybe they just flat out don’t care.
Regardless it’s bad practice ignoring your player base and frankly I haven’t logged on in a few months now and am doing just fine playing other games. One person logging on doesn’t make much of a difference you might think? Is it a ridiculous reason for me not to log in? One, I guarantee I am NOT the only one who has lost a lot of interest in the game for this reason or a similar one and two, it may sound ridiculous to some but it really kills the game for me when I have to log in and see the amazing armor I’ve worked so hard to earn on an ugly player (part of my love for MMO’s is you can make your character how you want and who you want to be, and Anet did a great job at that but there is no room for revision on the players part).
All in all they could at least reply (as stated several other times in this thread) but they more than likely won’t, and thus I’ll continue to play other games and won’t spend money on gems, etc. This may not hurt them now but being a fresh new game people will remember them for things bad and good, and how they handled situations. This is not a shining moment for Anet, period.

Edit: When I said “flat out don’t care” I mean it in the harshest sense which is (in my opinion), “We’re making money on selling gems, etc. Let’s just release a few more vanity items and boosters, themed items in the gem shop and keep making money, screw the player base’s wants”.

I love how Anet responded so fast to a thread concerning a lemon on the TP for 3800g but can’t respond to hundreds of players inquiring about the release on content expected to be released over a month ago. /e slow claps
All these customers continually ignored. No responses, becoming particularly insulting.
Ah this top has still been continually ignored and not received any other response from Anet. Keep posting guys and girls, they have to respond eventually!
At this point it looks like we’re all just being ignored, YES they’re busy with halloween updates, bugs, etc. But I think it only takes a few minutes to post a quick reply to the hundreds of posts asking for information regarding the kit (something a little less vague than the first post in this thread yet something a little more truthful than a post by a community leader I read over a month ago stating it would more than likely be in the next big update, which would have been the initial halloween one). Doubt they’ll answer so just expect to keep being ignored..
(and in my case running around the game with a nice, ugly, mushroom head..)
Makeover Kits, can the thousands of players waiting for this get an update please?

Yes, I understand Anet is very busy right now with the halloween update, fixing bugs, helping those with compromised accounts, etc. But I know for a fact I’m not the only one (because I’ve read it in several forum posts) that was disappointed when makeover kits were nowhere to be found in that last “big update”.
Now Mr. Jason Smalling wrote that they were working on something a month ago and then it was posted that the kit was accidentally released in a previous build, taken out for bug fixes, and would most likely be seen in the next “big update”.
A few updates have come now and we haven’t even heard a status report on the kit that thousands are waiting for, I’ve even read of some people shelving the game (in certain forum posts) until the kits release!
Those people are more strong willed than I as I enjoy playing this game too much to shelve it until the kit is finally released but I think a status report or update should be released to let the community and massive amount of players waiting to spend their gems they bought FOR this kit on it.
Not even asking for an ETA really, just a status report on how far along these bugs have been worked out?

Went through story mode again with a guy who hadn’t done it before, went into the celebration instance after, stood next to horgrove, nothing, can’t even talk to him.

Actually I saw one in a content video not sure if it was short or long, but it was a spider bow, looked pretty cool, don’t lose hope! (Unless you were waiting for them to release the makeover kit…)
I understand they released a lot of content, didn’t give an exact release date on the makeover kit (except for mentioning it would be in the next big release [possibly]) but I waited the entire day under the assumption the kit would be in the release to my disappointment, it was not.
Anyone else in disbelief, disappointed, etc?

I’ve been very busy soaking up all the content in this game and enjoying every bit of it. Though I mainly am accustomed to PvE and do dungeons or events around the game, I do sometimes dabble in PvP (but would like a PvE oriented guild).
What I’m looking for in a guild:
-Active PvE (dungeons, event hunting, etc.)
-Active guild chat (use of ventrilo is nice as well)
-Mature member base.
-Medium-small size guild.
Turn-offs
-Large roster
-Unbalanced ranking
-Entirely recruiting oriented guild (going for mass numbers, or giving promotions that way)
Please note: I am willing to switch servers, right now I am located in Sea of Sorrows.
What can I bring to your guild?
-Very active player (friendly, team-oriented)
-Explored a vast amount of the game (can help with end-game content, story, dungeons, etc.)
-Always willing to help to the best of my ability.
-Use of voice chat outside the game. (Normally Ventrilo, but I can use others)
-Mature player (over 18)
-Multiple level 80’s with 400 in leatherworking and cooking to help any member with whatever they may need!
I myself can often be found playing all paths of various dungeons, continuing working on my 100% world completion, doing events in Orr, etc.

My account was hacked this morning as stated in a similar thread I wrote earlier in this forum. These are the steps I followed, and if you get hacked, you should follow these as well:
First I changed any email/ account that used a similar password to my email/ GW2 account as fast as I could.
Next I submitted a support ticket explaining what had happened to the best of my ability.
Then I waited and to my surprise, my account was un-hacked and back in my hands in less than 12 hours! Given the fact that they receive thousands of these cases, this is incredible to me!
My gear was all in-tact the hacker stole my gold and bags, but mostly I’m thankful to still have my gear!
Thank you support team, Jurado, and all the rest at Arena Net! You guys are truly amazing and wowed me! And to those of you who had your accounts hacked, submit a ticket and remain calm, things will get better!
I also had a question though, I saw my account was logged on at Sparkflyfen the entire day, and was in a spot where multiple botters usually sit all day, I hope I am not held responsible for this and whoever hacked me from CN is!

Ah-ha my account is safe! Thank you GW2 Support team! Don’t know why I ever doubted you! They took less than 12 hours to recover my hacked account! I’m not sure what’s on it because I was so grateful I had to come post first, but they did an awesome job time-wise! To Jurado and the rest of the support team! Keep up the good work!
