Dear Anet,
recently I came back to GW2 because I love the game but I didn’t have time. In this topic I would like to talk about the possibility of more roleplaying options. Currently you can just choose a realm and that’s where you stay, but I would like to propose to change that.
When I was levelling with my friend I tried gathering everything I came by, sometimes I found some cooking ingredient that is quiet rare. But then I thought “Why can’t we edit the map or something?” For example: make drawings and put text on the map so you can remember where there’s something you need and you can go back there later. And that you can make multiple layers which you could toggle so your map isn’t full of text when you don’t want it to.
That made me think of something else. Why isn’t there a way to choose 2 ? One for normal playing, like it’s now AND one for roleplaying. Because Guild wars really wants me to roleplay but if there is maybe 1 percent of the people that roleplay, what is the fun in that? I think there is so much potential for roleplay in guild wars, how you play, the way you can help people, the ways you could adventure and even cooking. There are so much possibilities with cooking but for now you can only use it for buffs and nothing else. If there was a server where people could roleplay AND with the map editing I think it might attract more people. Not sure about that though.
So basically what I think would be a good idea is that you can edit your map permanently (also erase stuff obviously) so I don’t have to look on the internet which makes me feel like I’m cheating. And a server made for roleplaying which would be awesome.
Thanks for reading my first post ever and comment on what you think
.
Edit: Maybe also a way to write books? So you can take notes (like on the map) about some crafting recipes and stuff.
