I understand this is a lot more high concept than Mesmer but at the end of the day we felt like we wanted to try and push a more mature theme here. I hope this helps explain our thinking.
Dragonhunter.. doesn’t feel in any way “mature”. It’s what a five year old would say if you asked him what he wants to be when he’s all grown up. Only by that time he’s an accountant.
Also I’m very glad you guys are so into your “high concept” and enjoying “high concept” (cause we’re using that term on repeat it seems) – but how about making something that the community will enjoy? ..Seeing as we’re the people playing your game.

Brilliant. After the cutscene, got disconnected. The following 30 minutes was me continuously hopping between unplayable servers and disconnects. After long struggles I managed to attack a Karka and loot it for the event item. Then I spent another good amount of time to actually hand it in (this took me 4 disconnects and different overflows) Until I got into a server where the event was over. I never got to hand them in, I never saw the ending cinematic. I never really participated for that matter.
Honestly Arenanet, I thought you failed with the Halloween “one time event” – but this thing eats the icing of a very very rotten cake.
NO for ascended items/gear.
New content, yes. But I must stress the following point; NO TO HIGHER TIER GEAR. What the hell Arenanet, you told us you wouldn’t do this. No I’m not kittening excited, I’m annoyed, you kitten us over once again. And we all know what kitten really means.
Personally this is my favourite armour. Big chunks of ice would ruin it for me. Wouldn’t mind an added effect though, like an icy mist/particle effect coming off it, but nothing visually different to what it is.
A lot of people would be unhappy if they changed the look I’m sure (me included). If you spent time and effort getting the full dungeon armour you wanted and then they change it’s visual appearance people will be unhappy. In some cases people will find it a complete waste.
However, if you were to add a completely new set of dungeon armour for this dungeon in ADDITION to the original one that would be fine. As long as those who would like to change it, can change their current HotW armour for the new set. That way people who liked the first one better can keep that.
But I wouldn’t mind just a particle effect of icy mist coming off it.
The change in skill set up seems very much like nitpicking. If nerfing Guardians continuously wasn’t a bother enough to their dedicated players, this seriously is. Sure, you can re-adjust over time or just rebind, but time is the very last I’ll be giving it.
Why do you bother with these changes? Look at the entire rest of the game. There’s so much that needs fixing. Yet you prefer mucking around with random skill numbers? Why is that exactly, to make it seem you’re busy – hard at work? You’re not fooling anyone since the release of this half-assed game.
Perhaps this is a reaction to a build up of frustrations with all the faults within Guild Wars 2, but; well done Arenanet. I cannot believe how you managed to go so wrong with this game. I say that as a major Guild Wars 1 fan, which I played religiously. Compared to that, GW2 is but a shadow in a very dark world.
Just did CM dungeon with 4 other guys. All 3 paths.
Personally, I got 60 tokens per run, which works as intended, but the other guys seemed to get either 45, 15, 30. Not one of them had done the paths already (today).
One person even got 2 tokens for completing a path.
Another thing: It didn’t update the Explorer Achievement correctly. I’ve done story mode + the three passages, and the achievement states 3/4 paths taken.
The tokens I earned prior to this patch are all account-bound. They were located in the bank. Perhaps all tokens in the bank turned account bound, ones in the inventory stayed Soul-Bound?

I do hope that the people who have opened these items and gotten terrible rewards will be compensated. In guild wars 1, after completing each game you’d get a unique weapon/item of your choosing – it was worth it. Personally I got 5 blues between the levels 16 and 32.. Total value? about 4 silver, for killing an Elder Dragon.. Please Arenanet, give the people who completed it with these terrible rewards a better one. Or let us redo the very final story quest where we got the rewards.
