While I’m not opposed to firearms, I do agree with Djahlat’s post of needing an AoE and/or condi weapon (melee or not). You could argue sword or dagger (or ax because I do play that as melee to get all the axe #2-splitblade on 1 target) are melee condi, but you won’t maintain a significant condi tick with those two.
Ax+torch is fun and it works, but having SB as a swap isn’t fantastic. I mostly only use it for SB #5 x2 (with quickdraw) to break a bar.
Also, it wasn’t the ‘3 “exclusive” items and 3 titles more’ that he was referencing. He wants to be able to actually compete on the leaderboard for AP as a new player. While I don’t participate in AP hunting, I know many people who strive to to do everything that a game has/had and not being able to compete on a leaderboard that is still currently measuring and ranking player’s AP can turn someone off, if that’s their general attraction to these types of games.
While I don’t think it’s right to take anything away from the people who earned the limited-availability-AP, perhaps they should start a different leaderboard, or branch of the current, that only measures currently available AP. Yes it would take more effort/time on whomever designs the leaderboard, and it should be low on the totem pole if it’s the same team as the content devs (doubtful). But I feel we should still be able to appease new players who have the lust for “I Want To Be The Very Best (that I am currently able to be)”. Not alienate potential players because they can’t compete in what drives them.

I main a druid/ranger, though I have a few other 80s as well. I’m looking for an active guild that does fractals, raids, and is just generally active in general during regular East Coast USA timezone. Wouldn’t mind some PvP or WvW in the mix either (I’m on FA server).
I have 135 AR currently, polishing it back to 150 as soon as I get a few weapon boxes. Generally run condi-druid A/T-SB or A/T-S/D full vipers armor/weps + partial vipers/sinister trinkets. Also a Magi’s set with Monk runes for healing (though I haven’t actually done a raid in this game yet, I’ve practiced the healing role in WvW).
I saw a number of guilds posted in here, but rather then sift through each posting, determining they fit my playstyle, and then researching the age of the post, thought I’d just throw out a line here and let interested parties shoot me a message.
I’m available ingame, or via forums and have 3 guild slots available (thought looking for a guild to fill my MAIN REP guild slot). My activity times are approx 5:30pm-12:00am Monday-Friday, all day weekends, on East Coast USA timezone.
I personally just use 1 bloodstone ring, 1 petrified wood accessory, and the put a sinister from SW in the other slot.
I agree, though it could also be improved simply by putting it in a different area. A lot of the issue I have (as a condi ranger who bounces around) is that there’s not much room to manuver, and she has a lot of ground target AoE damage that eliminates most of the “safe” space to stand in that already narrow corridor.
Because you can only equip 1 ascended accessory/ring with the same name. Changing the stats doesn’t change the name. You can infuse or attune one and equip 2 that way, as long as they both don’t share the same name.

Bugs in the Branches-VB, Beetle Feast-TD, Ley-Line Run-TD off the top of my head, more when I get off work and can see the map.
I am also having issues with The Mystery Cave. I’ve completed it multiple times before on other characters, but, when I attempted to run it this morning; I progress just fine, normally, through the portal, down the dark passage, and through the memory seed replay. Once the Shadow of the Dragon spawns, the sequence of events in the fight is absolutely normal, until the ring of fire is lite and the dragon’s head surfaces and is SUPPOSED to take damage. I have tried to damage it both with the Divine Fire buff, and without. I can apply vulnerability to it, and target it, but it takes 0 damage. I tried re-logging, I tried letting the first DPS phase time out, light another fire ring, and trying to damage him again, to no avail. I’ve also submitted an in-game bug report on the issue, but thought I’d research here for any related issues.
