Guild Wars 2

The membership of Malchor’s Cat [MCAT], a guild on Yak’s Bend, is looking for a mid-sized to large guild to join or with which to partner. While Malchor’s Cat has been much fun, we are looking for a larger guild player base in GW2 with which to run dungeons and WvW groups.

The Cats on Guild Wars 2 are amenable to a joining a new guild or otherwise merging forces. Specifically, we are looking for a guild with at least ten members regularly on during prime time weeknights and weekends. The guild must be mature, casual, fun, educated, and respectful of its members.

The Cats are part of a sizeable gaming community dating back several years with current branches in many MMOs. Cats players are generally older than 25 with college loans, jobs, families, and commitments outside of games. Our membership is on both coasts, and places in between, in both the US and Canada. Between 5-15 such Cats are looking to join a new home together on Yak’s Bend.

Malchors Cat [MCat] is recruiting all levels and skills on Yak’s Bend!

The MCats are a close-knit gaming society spanning many games. Our new branch in Guild Wars 2, Malchors Cat, has been recruiting since launch. With dozens of members already, we expect to maintain a robust presence in GW2.

MCat players are mature people, generally older than people in many other guilds. The majority are beyond their school years, with jobs, families, and “non-gaming responsibilities.” We count many professionals among our ranks. We prize word play, despise poor grammar, and grudgingly tolerate puns. Salty language is only occasionally used, but usually for good effect. While based in the United States, we happily accept overseas members. Women are respected in our guild and unacceptable language is not tolerated.

In GW2, the MCats have been very active in PvE (including dungeons, of course) and WvW. We are rapidly accumulating guild points and perks.

The larger MCat community has outposts on most large existing online games. Most members play multiple games with each other and several meet in person to play tabletop games. The community has an optional “CatCon” each year in Vegas where members meet, drink, play games, and generally socialize.

Ditto all the above. The bot problem is big and growing bigger. Please get it fixed before it starts costing you a lot of players.

There’s a very large amount of botting going on. It detracts substantially from enjoyment of the game, it makes events less fun, and it will, over time, destroy your economy. Get rid of botters, ban the IPs, shut them down, and do it quikly — please.
