Excuse the in-game terminology as it makes it easier to understand if I use one common word instead of describing something each time.
Pretty simple problem made obvious by the Boss Blitz event that was introduced with the megaserver system. PUGs are too hard to organize. And now with the megaserver system, it is hard to get a large amount of organized members on the same map without wasting stupid amounts of hours clicking the join party member button due to whoever happens to be clicking join at the time getting in regardless of time WASTED clicking that button. PUGs on the map on Queen’s Gauntlet are doing their own thing or do not even care to organize in order to accomplish the event in less than 40 minutes. To be honest it makes me wonder if it requires a lot of effort on their part to read a few words.
Bronze in 40 minutes or longer = 1 loot bag, 8 tickets, and whatever amount of tokens
gold in 7 minutes = 8 loot bags, 19 tickets, and 40 tokens and is able to be repeated faster.
That a stupid amount of disparity between rewards just due to the fact that PUGs CAN’T ORGANIZE or do not care to because they want to do something else.
One simple solution to reduce undue frustration would be to add a queue system to join full megaservers so we can spare our wrists and our mouses, and tables that get flipped for spending an hours without getting into an organized map. This way they can do something else on the map such as the arena or map completion while waiting instead of standing still and right clicking and finding out they wasted several hours doing this over time.
If anet wants to go into the direction of extremely organized events instead of mindless zerging, then something needs to be done to make organizing easier rather than harder (megaserver). Either that or provide free voice chat instead of risking random people affecting somewhat private teamspeak servers that the majority of PUGs don’t bother joining so people can actually listen instead of read because not many people read or have enough respect for people from reading in order to organize. That is why queue’s should be added so that people who actually want to organize and be together since in-game voice chat never has decent quality nor is it likely to be implemented in an mmo.

Has anyone else seen 1 thief hold a supply camp against a mob of 10+ people by spamming stealth abilities and remaining invisible for 98% of the time? I have seen this happen at least 3 times in the last week. Seems to work especially well in supply camps with large circles and or with objects in the capture circle so that they are not as likely to get hit by skills that do not require a target.
This means that only melee, guardian’s staff #1 skill, or high cooldown ground targetting skills can hit the invisible thieves. Meanwhile, they are free to walk out of AoE’s, dodge, etc. Dump an HP regenerating food on the thief such as peach pie and they’re good to go.
New strategy? Just have a thief mess around in a circle to defend/capture harass until your zerg comes by to wipe out those patient, or (in the words of others) dumb enough to stay. At least until the capture doesn’t count invisible characters as being in the capture circle anymore (like in sPvP). Just throwing that out there to increase awareness of this…strategy.
