Hello to the game devs. This is to them.
I find as I played after beta. Things were not so neat as they seemed in beta. I thought things would progress and it would be a wonderful game. I played Guild Wars 1 for almost 7 years.
I was excited about the halloween event until I tried it. It is sadly not so great for low levels. And to be honest. There is little reason for you to get a character to level 80. There are no rewards for leveling. Not like in Guild Wars 1. Except for seasonal events. Even though I hated WoW community, I give Blizzard a hand and compliment because seasonal events didn’t mean you had to be level 80 (85 the last time I played). You could get roomies, boyfriend, girlfriend, and friends to run a low level character to aquire event items. You could even do this in Guild Wars 1, but not guild wars 2. This is disappointing as with the seasonal event you can get nice objects but only for high levels.
Is that the reward for level 80? Seasonal events? And the store ..now that is another story. Halloween stuff only if bought. Nice way to go Free to play like other MMOs. I bought stuff in guild wars 1..because it account bound and mostly costumes or storage. Yes, pvp and other little things. But not like in Guild Wars 2.
This delevel is absolutely more punishment than good. I got a level 80 but I can’t help anyone because of delevel and the cost of armor repairs isn’t the delevel value but the level 80. I had a guild, but why in peter pan’s name would I help guildies in a low level dungeon when my repairs bill is level 80 but the mobs treat me like level 30, 40, and etc. So..I guess he sits in character slot and waits for all the guild to get level 80?
I started the book quest for halloween on a low level. I died a few times but shrugged it off. My fiance ran me through it. So I see his neat second book quest reward ankittenold it is for even higher levels, GREAT! I am punished for not being level 80 in another character, and why in the world would I push myself to level another level 80 just to sit in character slot?
I wasted 150.00 dollars is what I did. Even though I HATE WoW’s community at least their events everything was possible with friends, relatives, or guild to aquire in seasonal events. Guild Wars 1 things could be attain also.
I still play..but not like I use too, I’m waiting for another game to come along. Maybe a good Free-to-play where I will spend my money with them. I am also playing Torchlight 2. Boy a great game for 20 bucks and no cash cow system for the company.
But I thought I would give my thoughts and disappointment to you. I won’t look for response, I don’t like fanny kissing people replying to my post. This was for the game devs that created GWs 2 and they have my email if they wish to response which I doubt.
Reward leveling besides the old I got a level 80 character brag (Dungeon armor is absolutely the ugliest armor I’ve seen in any game yet). Don’t punish low levels in your seasonal events..
