A mix of highest and lowest rank doesn’t sound good to me. It is frustrating to play against good teams with one or two players lost on the map, not knowing what to do.
This change won’t do anything new to match you against people far from your MMR, whether they are higher or lower. However, just as it works currently, you may be matched with people further away from you if you or they have been been waiting a significant amount of time.
What this change will do is better arrange into teams the players that you are matched against.
Sounds like a great improvement then!
Thanks for clarification.

If this system works correctly, and people come back to play , you won’t get 10 people ranging from 800 to 100, but 10 people from 0-200, 200-400 and so on.
That would be nice. But that’s not what they are saying unless I don’t understand that:
This change should also do a great deal toward preventing lopsided matches by ensuring each team will have a mix of the highest and lowest rated players.
Doesn’t that mean that you can have teams like that put together?
- rank 30
- rank 100
- rank 80%
- rank 900
- rank 150

Right?

Same feeling here as I worked hard my way to the top 50, which I just reached with close to 700 games.
I’m happy they fix what’s flawed, but the reset is hard to swallow…
I also don’t understand why you are happy with “by ensuring each team will have a mix of the highest and lowest rated players”.
I’m only interested in playing with high rank players against high rank players, what’s the point if they put in the, sorry for the expression, 1 or 2 noobs that will waste the game.
And I’m talking about gameplay here, not win or lose.
Well, not sure that change is a complete good thing…
