once I finished the storyline I avoid that zone completely, I feel bad for the developers, that zone had to be hard to design, yet its so hard to navigate and survive in its almost always empty. Next time focus on maps that are more open, the most “vertical” landscape I want to see is maybe up to the verdant brink level, and even that was a pain until you got all the masteries.
Has anyone actually enjoyed tangled depths?
thanks for the tips, I will concentrate on the guardian/DH for now, just using the tomes of knowledge to level revenant heh
thanks for the info about Kitten, I didn’t know their bad word filter substituted that, freaking hilarious!
yea I am really just doing the PvE stuff, pvp just has waaayyy too much drama lol. I haven’t done any raids yet, not sure if I will or not, with all these buzzwords like meta, kitten, etc going around its confusing!
What is with the cat fascination, I see kitten this, kitten that, oh kitten, etc
I have a level 80 guardian and a level 72 revenant,
on the guardian(dh) forums its all doom and gloom, like the guardian is totally worthless, and you shouldn’t play the class, instead roll a revenant.
on the revenant forums its all doom and gloom about glitches and nerfs, with some asking for a new ranged weapon like the guardians longbow.
so which is it, is guardian hopeless, or is it strong enough to make revenants jealous of something ?
Personally I like the lazier playstyle of the guardian, I only do PvE, so that may be why I’m not seeing it, but right now the classes seem to be relatively balanced if both sides complain heh.
yea it was pretty rough, I thought I had failed getting up the cliff face again, but I guess I made it high enough to get to the “save point”, the rest wasn’t quite as bad
thanks for the tip! I finally managed to get the mushroom hopping mastery, which helped a bunch with that quest for scout ubek, though he was still a pain to reach. the storyline after him was much easier to complete though
yikes, just seems crazy how much more difficult it is to get around, compared to the non HoT content. Gliders are cool and all, but I seriously thought it would make it easier to get around, rather than harder lol
I want to see a map that doesn’t involve so much climbing, gliding, jumping, etc
I don’t think I have ever had a zone so annoying in any game, taking forever to find paths up trees and gliding to other trees. Please tell me the other zones in HoT are more simple to navigate.
I have been trying to get to itzel scout ubek for an hour now, to complete “in their footsteps”, freaking frustrating.

I think part of the issue is I JUST trained dragonhunter, and only had a few hero points left, so don’t have traps and stuff yet, from what I have read lately it seems traps help a bunch.
I will say the HoT content is significantly different than the original content, I wasn’t prepared for the mob strength lol, what an eye opener! The range attacks are definitely safer there!

ahh gotcha, I still need to get used to the whole switching weapons in combat thing, I am still used to the other games that actually prevent it on purpose. Thanks for the insight
I am still trying to wrap my head around the skills and stuff in GW2, and I levelled using greatsword, but looked forward to being a dragonhunter. However, once I got to 80, and tried out the LB, the damage seemed quite a bit less than the GS, and I took a crapton more damage.
Is it mainly just for pulling or if you have a bunch of other suckers taking all the damage? I am only doing PvE atm, so going around solo it seems like the GS is still better, unless there is a secret I haven’t learned yet, any tips?
