if you cant get more then 15 people interested in your guild, why start one?

So now you’re accepting that the size of the guild does matter instead of your original statement?

As for your comment, I’m sure you can find many examples of guilds (some of them even posting already in this thread) of small groups of people who have played together over the years and prefer to keep it that way. Not to mention some guilds that have 15 or so, but very rarely do most guilds have every single member on at the same time.

That said, I have no stake in this argument. I am in a “small group of friends” guild that likely won’t have enough people on to run the mission types that require multiple groups, and that’s fine. I can accept that not all content is going to be engineered towards my guild.

I would like to know what that magic tuning number is though so I can either get interested in the guild challenges, or settle back into being content with the stuff we can do, like dungeons, jumping puzzles, WvW, etc.

as stated in the blog, if you would read it, it doesn’t matter the size of the guild.

Actually, it says:

Not to worry—all these missions take place in the persistent world, which gives you the ability to rally people from the surrounding countryside and maybe make some new friends in the process!

So if your guild is small, you can’t do the guild missions (at least some of them) without some outside help. These are apparently tuned for some ideal minimum number, but there’s not really an indication what that minimum is. Multi-group coordination, that’s mentioned in several of the types, seems to hint that the number is at least 10.
