Based on the feature list, 45 Eur is really too high a price tag for the expansion.

I have a challenging job and a family, I play GW2 for relax and fun.

I play GW2 almost since day one, I have 12k WvW kills, I have one character for each profession, but I PVP with 6 of them.

I PVP regularly since one year and half, I reached rank 73 without farming a single rank point, by playing mostly hotjoin and unranked.

Warrior : 440 matches – 20 wins to Champion Legionnaire – I can effectively play hambow, but I have played several other builds, axebow, sw/shield etc.
Guardian : 420 matches – Champion Paragon – Mostly played a custom but decently effective GS + Sw/Foc build
Mesmer : 380 matches – I currently play a variant of double ranged shatter, I have also played classic shatter and various condi / PU builds
Engineer : 135 matches – I currently play a sustained damage build with nades, flame turret and FT
Necromancer : 110 matches – currently playing Terrormancer
Ranger : 110 matches – I usually play a custom sustained damage power build
Thief and Ele – Sorry, I just can’t…

I usually PVP every evening for about one hour, and I want to get a bit more “serious” in my PVP matches.

That’s why I am looking for a team of experienced, competitive but mature and friendly people with which I can play regularly.

My home server is Piken Square. I can use TS, I speak english.

What is the Black Lion Outfitter Kit ?

It creates a customized outfit based on your current appearance : armor plus dyes applied.

It can store up to 5 customized outfits, which you can then equip from the Outfits tab.

Why I thought about this: I would often like to change the look of one of my characters.
However, I would like the ability to simply come back to a previous look I liked, just as much as the new one or even more.
The Outfitter would provide a great tool to change your look often, without trying to remember what skins it was using, how it was dyed etc.

Possible issue: we would use/purchase less Transmutation charges which are part of the Gem economy.
The BL Outfitter would cost an initial good amount of Gems.
On top of that, it could be expanded in blocks of additional 5 more customized outfits, to a max of 20, for more Gems.
Also, the outfitter requires your armor to actually be transmuted before it can become an outfit.
So, in my opinion, we would actually use MORE transmutation charges, since we can create a look and then outfit it with a click.

I play GW2 since 14 months now, I have five lvl80 characters, I play it almost every day and I have not played any other game since I installed it on my PC. This is how much I like this game !

This is my first post on the forums. I was going to post this without having seen the look of Ascended Armors – which, by the way, I find quite horrible.

I am quite disappointed by the release of Ascended Armors.

Why: I have finished my Ascended Greatsword for my warrior just one week ago, after spending much time in leveling Weaponsmith to 500 and then collecting the missing materials needed to actually forge the weapon. Now my bank is depleted of all materials, and even thinking about repeating above process on Huntsman, for a Longbow, sickened me.

And what happens now ? Arenanet releases Ascended Armor, which will require more TONS of materials to make.

Well, if this is not gear grind, I don’t know how I should call it.

What I find really frustrating is that we players do not have any alternate way to obtain these armors.
Would have developers added the possibility to get them via Badges of Honor, Dungeon tokens, laurels, Guild commendations or whatever else, it would not have been a big problem, I would have got in time, I am not in a hurry.

But no, at this time all we have to do is farm, farm, farm, farm.
No, thank you.

TL;DR Ascended Armors update has come too close to Ascended Weapons update.
Without any alternate way to get them by playing normally, the game is going the farm-fest way.
