Tried removing English (US) from your browsers, as GW2 uses a browser (for the TP)?

Changing the language didn’t do the trick. I’ll have to try customer support i guess. Thanks for trying to help

Nobody has the same problem with me? Everyone is using a keyboard with an English (US) layout?….

Hello everybody

I have a problem which is related to the game. When i start Guild Wars 2, there’s a language installed on its own, specifically it’s English (US).

I use English (UK) and i have created a specific keyboard layout for Greek with UK layout since that is what my keyboard layout is.

How can i disable this? It only happens when i launch the game. Any other program i’m using it’s fine.

The worst part is that i cannot simply delete it since it’s not in the languages list. I have to add a new English (US) language and only then it’s shown in the language panel so i can delete it.

I’ve attached a screen shot of the problem. Some help would be great. I change languages very often and having to add > remove a language every time i launch the game is frustrating.

If you have any overlay software (or maybe anything else hooking into the game to provide more features) running try disabling that. I know I had problems with RivaTuner Statistics Server (also bundled with MSI Afterburner) after the Creator’s Update.

If you’re using RTSS you can add an application profile for Gw2.exe/Gw2-64.exe and set the application detection level to None, effectively disabling it just for Guild Wars 2.

Hello guys

I just installed the Windows 10 Creator’s update and the game doesn’t start. After the login process, the game window force-closes and the process from the task manager is magically gone.

Does any1 else have the same problem?

It’s not graphics performance related since i changed my graphics settings to performance and there was no change. I was even looking at the wall and the fps fluctuated between 55-60 every second. And it’s this fluctuation that is causing this slowdown.

Anyway, i managed to narrow it down to the following. In SW, i join the map after i had joined a squad with many players. And the fps fluctuation was there. I left the squad and made a party with a friend. Went to Guild Hall, returned to the map (still having a party with a single player) and the fps fluctuation was gone. Then i joined the squad and all were great.

So, to sum it up. Joining a new map when u already have joined a squad with many players, creates this fps fluctuation which is utterly annoying.

Let’s hope ArenaNet will fix this annoying problem..

Hello everybody

Since English isn’t my native language, please excuse my mistakes. I will try to explain my problem as best as i can.

I have a weird periodic 1 second frame drop that seems to happen whenever i go to a map with an event and a squad that has many people. When doing the Dragon’s Stand, Tarir events (just two out of my mind) and if i join a squad that has many people, i get periodic frame drops every second. Some call it spikes. So, while my fps are in the mid 40’s, they go down and then come back up every second.

If i join another map, this thing goes away and my fps are as constant as possible. The weird part is that this happens even when looking at the floor, so probably (if not obviously) it’s not GPU performance related. I even tried to select “auto” in the game settings and nothing changed. Once it starts, the only way to make it stop is to change maps.

I don’t know if i can make you understand what i’m trying to say. I’ve attached a picture to maybe help anybody understand how this goes along with the game settings.

My system specs are as follows:
AMD FX-8350 @ 4.7GHz
Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
G. Skill 16GB (4×4GB) 8/9/9/24
AMD HD 7970
Game in installed on an Intel SSD 520 series 120GB
Windows 10
64 bit client

CPU cores are unparked. CPU usage is below 40%. GPU usage is around 80%-90%, sometimes going to 99% (always depends on the graphics that’s shown on screen). GPU memory usage is below 3GB. Temperatures are CPU: ~40C GPU: 65C-70C (the GPU has an operating limit (TjMAX) of 95C)

Any help would be welcome so i can solve this problem.
