So after poking around a bit this is more or less what I am running. Disregard the level of the gear as mine isn’t anywhere near that good yet. It feels alright. Very bursty but its sustained damage isn’t abysmal. Gaining adrenaline while using the bow at range is tricky but not too bad. I found when I am using the axe I can often get full adrenaline before my burst is off cooldown.
It is strange playing with a bow instead of a greatsword. Sort of nice not having to worry about hitting 100b and the mob move or gets knocked around by people. I really wish Slicing Arc did more damage or applies bleeds or something.
I was looking at things and I wonder how well a 0/20/0/20/30 (or move the 20 from tactics to defense for cleansing ire) would work using Bow / Axe + (situational)
Burst damage would be decent as well as often. You can move in and out as need be. The only thing that could be a concern would be conditions maybe.
Any opinions/thoughts on this?
I am trying to find a build that can move from PvE viable to WvW viable by just changing some traits and weapon sets around. I don’t know how possible this is, I just don’t want to have to full respec if I decide to queue up for some WvW suddenly. Essentially I do some PvE (I’ve honestly never done a dungeon) and would like to start poking at WvW. I don’t expect to be the best at either of them, but I want to be effective enough to be passable. Is this even possible? I am still trying to figure out all the different gear combinations for stats. I mostly play with a few friends in a small group, and I am still fresh to 80 so I haven’t invested much into gear yet.
