Good change which was expected (and needed to prevent exploiting content made unintentionaly too easy), even discussed on these forums a while ago.

Wow that didn’t take long….just 2 posts after my fanboy comment. You also have no idea how to tune dungeon difficulty vs. reward. Yes the perfect way to prevent exploiting easy content is to both buff the difficulty to the point where you need to throw bodies at a pull until it despawns and then also getting less money than your repair cost. /sarcasm Hey! How about this crazy idea! You just drop the money and exp from the dungeon completion for the one that could be completed faster than intended and leave the mob tuning alone since they now AoE for 12k.

This is what Anet rushes to fix? A fun, quick dungeon that actually felt rewarding. I’m just baffled by Anet’s approach to dungeons, and their approach to the entire endgame in general. They are starting to feel less like a game developer and more like the fun police.

It does not help the fact that when you post a legitimate concern about something which will turn a large portion of the player base away, the fanboys immediately come rushing in to defend anything that happened. They are intentionally alienating the playerbase in a game where world events take large numbers of people and the only difference between player A and player B is the way they chose to style their armor. There is absolutely no throughput/stat advantage to the dungeon gear…..I think 24+ hours of grind time is taxing enough for a skin.

Charge back guide anyone ?

I would love to know how to do this. I figured I would stick it out though the terrible security and the fact that a large industry like this didn’t have a call center or the ability to roll back a character. I figured I would stick though all the world bugs preventing me from completing the map which haven’t been fixed weeks after first being posted. I just cannot stick though this anymore after their very clear message in dungeon tuning. PVP is the only thing left of value to me in this game but that alone can’t hold my interest long enough to say it was worth the money. Sure it fun when getting the kills needed for the monthly, but I purchased this game to explore the world and dungeon it up with my friends, both of which are becoming increasingly harder to do with every server hotfix patch.

No you dont have to farm dungeons, you can have the exotic max stats with Crafting, buying in AH, Karma, Mystic Forge, the Dungeons are mean to get rare skins, i alredy have 2 set by crafting.

I love how people who tell that CoF was the unique fun dungeon, no it isnt you think that is fun because is the only dungeon that you can farm fast, isnt fun, simple is easy and the people want easy things, if now CoF last 1 hour and Ascalonan Tombs last 15 minutes, AT woul be the favourite dungeon of people -_-.

Is true that they need improve the dungeon reward, but is funny how people want easy 20 minute dungeon run when is supossed to be the most diffcult thing to parties.

At 20 min clears of CoF it would take roughly 24 hours of running it to get the set that as you yourself just stated is the exact same stat-wise as the crafted gear. If this is the only reward from the dungeon then it should be a quick and painless run especially since it is already going to take so many hours for just a look. Making it a nightmare for the TOTAL player base to get something as simple as a skin is a horrendous design choice and is EXACTLY what they said they didn’t want.

the monstrosity that you just pushed live is one step closer to a Korean grind-fest which I did not pay $60 to have.

To be honest, speedruns and farming specific dungeons and branches seems more of a grind-fest. Yes, I also feel that a viable way to gain gold has been cut off. But trying to think on a larger scale, there’s a huge world and there’s a lot to do. Spending an evening redoing the same thing is the grindfest.

So you are telling me if I want this fire gear set…its more of a grind fest to get it over with in 15 min runs with little to no deaths and a bonus amount of income for the time spent in the instance, than a much longer run with no reward at the end and many deaths? No it isn’t. I’m not asking to make it easier to get the gear, it already take a long time and many hours of running the same repetitive stuff, but at least I was rewarded for my time spent in the way of gold and items. Now you just throw bodies at it and cross your fingers. This isn’t a game where players are ranked against each other…or even guilds for that matter so ArenaNet trying to curb the player base’s playstyle to how they feel we should be playing is step one to a population decline. Now add that to the fact that most endgame world events require a lot of bodies to be present and you have the makings of this games downfall.

Its really sad that they would push a rushed hotfix in like this to the only thing holding this game together. They have bugs EVERYWHERE in zones and they choose to target the explorable dungeons? If you didn’t want groups skipping the events then lessen the amount of mobs that spawn and don’t allow them to de-spawn when the event is over…..the monstrosity that you just pushed live is one step closer to a Korean grind-fest which I did not pay $60 to have.
