Buy gems—-> trade for gold——-> Put up buy order for desired weapon skin?
It is sort of an answer – but not really, those skins cost insane amount of gold. Whenever I see RNG drops for real money I feel like someone is thinking that I’m stupid enough to gamble wtih my money… Don’t pay for RNG. In-game cash – fine. Real money – forget it. To me those skins might as well not exist at all. BL chests are just cheap money-grubbing and nothing more…

While I’m not as pissed as some people, I’m a little disappointed to say the least. Is adding more gear to grind for the only way to expand? Isn’t it bad enough that difficulty in the dungeons mainly comes from bosses that have 1000000 hp and hit like a truck, therfore forcing you to run back and forth between waypoints while spending a smll fortune on armor repairs? We have a gear treadmil now? Exotics are hard enough to get, so as far as I’m concerned, I’ll propably ignore ascended stuff altogether. I play for fun and if I wanna work – I go to work, simple.
In my personal opinion DE rewards should at be at least 5 times greater than they are now. Also, they should be tied to your level not the level of an area. That would solve many problems. Another great thing would be if they implemente unique rewards for some DEs.
The problem with dynamic events is that once you outlevel particular area there is simply no point in doing them unless you want karma and for that you can still do lvl 80 events. Even if the game downscales your level, the loot still stays the same and you will keep getting lvl 35 loot even at lvl 80 so what’s the point? Characters are scaled to an area, which is fine, but the area should also scale to the player (karma, gold and loot in particular).
Another thing – karma and all equipment should be account bound – “soulbound” should be removed entirely from the game. Let me give you an example: I have lvl 80 mesmer, which I play all the time and lvl 18 engineer which I touch like 1-2 times a week. If i had more ways in which I could help level my engineer while playing my mesmer I would have more incentive to play in lower level areas.
tl;dr – Make rewards and loot scale to player level throughout the game, implement better rewards for events, remove “soulbound” – it’s just annoying. Also, make karma “one pool” for an entire account.

I like the event so far, but I do not love it – it has some cool stuff like the jumping puzzle (which I loved despite the reward – shoes? really??) and the mad king dungeon. I completed the battle with Mad King with only me and my friend – it was fun. Decorations in LA are some of the best I’ve seen so far.
My biggest problem however, is with the fact that too many things are random and because of that – too hard to get, too expensive etc. 40G for a GS skin is too much, every weapon or skin requires heavy grind/farm. These are event stuff – they should be fairly easy to get, fun not work! I’m not even mentioning the fact that I spent about 1000 gems (bought with real money) plus some gems bought for gold on keys to open BL chests and all I got was a big fat pile of nothing (no I do not care that I got a tonic and I can turn into a candy corn monster for 15 minutes – what am I, a three year old or smething?) The event is ok, but it could have been done better.
