I’m pretty sure you are not alone. I am traditionally a single player gamer, in my approach to even MMO’s. I’m not particularly interested in PvP either. However I have always enjoyed playing Dungeons, and learning their nuances.
But Ascalonian Catacombs, the first Dungeon offered, is a total mystery to me. I have tried to form groups for weeks, with not much luck I have to say. And the times we do get in, I feel the mobs are INCREDIBLY overpowered. Not a single pick-up-group (PUG) has made it past the 2nd or 3rd group of mobs.
I play a Ranger, and play to my strengths as a DPS-er, however it seems to me the ‘tanks’ and self healing mechanic is no where near efficient enough for PUGs to deal with VERY tough introduction mobs in AC mobs.
I wanted to keep playing, but I feel the dungeons have put a dent in my personal desire to progress through all content in a progressive and inclusive manner.
With my moment lost, I’m already drifting towards other new games, that hold new interests and curiousity. The learning curve is truly thrown out of the park with the level of skill expected in the first Dungeons. And it really isnt clear where groups go wrong.
