Looking forward to diving back into it. I Think I’ll make a new toon for intro movement learning what’s it then go back to the old toons.

Heard thief a few times and think I remmeber building bubbles to unleash mass dps bursts ... Gonna roll that guy after I’ve got my head on straight.

I played quite a bit at beta/launch … then RL happened in a big way. I’ve been doing some reading around the forums, new player guides, etc. I’ve decided to take the plunge and download the clinet and give GW2 another go. Wall of questions INC!!!

Where should I begin…
Should I use characters that have not been touched in 2 years?
Should I start fresh?
I love melee combat for PVE (and dont care much about pvp, wvw) Which profession would you recommend?
I’m an mmo junkie and liked the non tradtional approach to the game … look forward to seeing y’all in game!

i see more gold sellers sending in-game mail advertising their sites. i have not yet seen a way to report them. how to report?

Ahh, I see. I work under a timeline where if something is due on X date it is due open of business hours on that day. So if I have a report due tomorrow it is due at start of business (0800) … not at the end of the day.

Oh to operate under whatever rules you want. Must be nice

it is called guild “WARS” … i don’t know how it could be centered upon anything except combat.

It is not "Guild:
cold war
chess war
baseball
puzzel masters
party games
etc.

I’m not trying to minimize your comment, because I enjoy diversity in my games; but it is clearly named and thus I cannot complain that it is what it is.

Is it possible to give in-game rewards to those who have successfully reported a bot/ exploiter?

I assume my gamertag is noted in the report. What if, upon a successful ban (if you enforce your EULA) all those players in the log were given some reward for reporting a plague on GW2 society? it makes it worth our time to report, and worth your financial efforts to remove them.

posted in bugs about the “revive bot” exploit … it’s Got to stop.

Suggestion: enforce your EULA please.

Saw a new Bot exploit today! In a lvl 25-35 zone, a lvl 2 would attack a “stag” and die quickly, stag would return to assigned pathing, bots would revive the downed player for XP. Rinse repeat. I killed the stag about 15 times to eliminate the loop … no luck.

Below is a SS of the launcher this morning. I was on a blank launcher for 5+ minutes before it clicked over to the DL content.

start a new character, give away your gold (robin hood that illicit Lootz), delete your armor. there are many ways to right the wrong.

I’m currently only lvl 23, but love dungeons (in other games). I’ve been pumped about jumping in a AC Story group asap, but after reading these forums, not so much.

So, Dungeon Lovers, Convince me that they will be worth my time!

Running a 2011 macbook pro, decent specs. I was running through Parallels (work a lil play a lil – didnt want to have to run through bootcamp). I had all settings set to lowest and getting about 19-25 fps.
Looking forward to the beta mac client, even if it is lower specs than full bootcamp!

I run longbow, sword/axe for PVE right now.
Used to use rifle but didn’t care for the slower cool downs.
Love love love when a DE has clusters of mobs: longbow fire (2), aoe bomb (3) switch out weapons and become a top of whirling axes and win.

I’m not the main demographic, but running GW2 on a 2011 MacBook pro, great specs.
Running the program through parallels rather than boot camp ( performance loss blah blah I know.)

Issue with trading post: when mousing over items the tooltip does not appear 9/10 logins. Occasionally logging out and back in fixes, usually not.
Likewise the buy/ sell buttons are not selectable in these occurrences.
When the tooltips pop up I can buy/ sell with no problems.
