That’s nice and all, but what about some 5.1 or 7.1 audio? Because the game sounds awful, like everything is just IN YOUR FACE with no notion of distance or greatness whatsoever.

I have a similar problem, but with a xonar phoebus soundcard and 5.1 setup (i don’t own the logitech headset). The 5.1 channels are all messed up (music and general positionnal audio is fine, but everything else plays somwhere on the left side) and when i get something playable some sounds still come from the wrong speakers…

Ok i’ve made some progress. I repaired the game using the repair tool, it made it sound like the first launch i got. The game effectively messes up the audio channels, i use the test inside the driver and the sounds don’t come from the right places. I moved the config to stereo then back to 5.1 it appears to have fixed the thing temporarily, but on relaunch the muddy effects came back.

Hey there, i just bought a xonar phoebus sound card in order to replace my deceased X-Fi Forte and i’m having some troubles with the game. I use the latest drivers and i thorughly cleaned my system from previous ones, i use an analog 5.1 sound system.
At first launch the sound channels were all around the place, the center was on the left, the rear in front… After relaunching the game it all got in place, except one thing. Every spell/skill sound effect (more like everything from my character, from armor “clangs” to axe “clings”)comes from the rear channel, is muffled and generally doesn’t sound right, as in a bad dubbing.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it tied to the soundcard or the game, because it’s the only one that does that.
