That’s true. There is bit of helpfulness with toss elixirs like elixir r, h, and maybe c but nothing to write home about. The smoke bomb combo field could be helpful to allies and maybe using healing turret for the heal skill would help with support.

I made some changes last night while doing tourneys and overall I’d say it was successful. Who would have thought :p

Noooo… man. You just need to make sure you have the right tools for the job. Know what role you want your engineer to fill and then trait select skills to complement that. The class does require the player to know their skill bar and make use of it all but it’s manageable with some practice.

I’m trying various things with the engineer to come up with something that I feel works well for spvp. I tinkered with some builds that fit more of roaming play style and have had some success neutralizing points and getting some kills but it could be done better with other professions since I avoided going all out glass cannon but engies are kind of stuck taking the damage rather than avoiding it so there wasn’t much choice… at least from what I could tell.

I’m trying to make a bunker engineer and am wondering if anyone has had success with this. I runed for toughness and either increase protection duration or grant protection (can’t remember which) along with the bomb kit, rams head, and elixir b. I don’t remember my traits exactly but it’s along the lines of alchemy and toughness with traits that give protection and the power one to increase explosion radius. Unfortunately the weapon skills aren’t really bunker oriented :/

Does this sound reasonable for bunker engi or is it worth showing the whole build to get it critiqued?

Guardians will probably scoff at a bunker engi but it seemed worth a shot and reasonably doable.

I made an engineer and did some structured pvp a few hours ago and had some luck. Won some 1v1’s and lost some. I was using netshot and the net shooting turret pretty liberally and used the 4 skill to help keep my distance using the rifle. I also had one of the elixirs that give like 4 boons. I actually got on here to learn more about engi pvp but maybe a simple tactic like what is above and taking a look at your traits will give you better spvp results.
