I came up with an update to my idea for the Looking for Group menu.
In lion’s arch you can group up with people from other servers. Well why not add that into the looking for group menu. Maybe see everyone in all servers who are looking for a group, or just between the three servers that are at war in WvW, or from a certain amount of servers. Keeping in mind the amount of people who will start using the looking for group menu, and the amount of data that will be streaming into that menu.
I had an idea for the Looking for group menu. I have noticed that this area is very basic and that practically no one uses it. I have also noticed that most people who are actively looking for a group tend to look for groups doing dungeons.
My idea is to create a few extra tools for searching users:
-First: Let a person view all users looking for a group.
-Second: Give the option to filter the whole list into smaller groups.
For example: class, level, and map.
-Third: Give the option for users seeking a group to specify which area they would
like to go to.
For example: Specific/non-specific dungeon(s), specific/level-range maps,
WvW, and PvP.
-Fourth: The ability to have a party to have the choice of showing up in theses
searches showing that they are seeking more players and which task they are doing.
This is just a basic outline of my idea to expand the Looking for player menu, I could if asked to, make a detailed plan of exactly what I think and what others think would make the searching for a group menu more widely used.
P.s this is a completely different idea but, the ability to type /who (player name) to get the map, class, and level would be nice. This would also have to come with /who (map name) to show the list of people in a specific map the names would also come with class, and level.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely – one happy gamer
