i have had a couple of incidents where my Reaper shroud 2 skill locks my character’s movement.
cant move even if i jump. gotta wait for the skill to recharge and move again through that i havent tested it, but i think other movement skills can also cure this problem.
also the current alternatives to the location of the Moa skill are. Glamour, Manipulation, Clone, or Signet… i dont see it going into any of those categories very well.
Manipulation maybe, but i do think it would be better to make a Mantra Elite skill so players can get 5 different Mantras.
Being Manipulation would be more likely to get the Mass invis, and Timewarp is becoming a Glamour.
i never said it had to be 10s for the mantra version. that is subject to the balancing and rebuilding of the skill.
and with Engineer getting AOE Moa transform i am not so sure i would say we cannot do this.
If the developers are still having trouble placing the Moa skill for the mesmer elite. could we put it into a Mantra,
i was thinking something like a 180s cooldown before rechanneling
and a 30s or 40s cooldown between casts with the 1s cast time. this would make it more fun in PvP.
I have enjoyed it in PvP a lot, but it is pretty much a 1 time skill with the current cooldown. this would also make Mantra Mesmers even more fun to play… in my opinion.
what do you all think?
in the game you have been editing all the class skills and utilities to open up a more diverse builds. something that you can also consider would be opening all armor lvls for all classes. right now the only reason people have thier armor is because they cannot change the quality. now if you were to open it up without changing anything so that nothing is added to the armors EVERYONE would switch to heavy armor.
the reason is simple. light and medium are incompetent. they give the same stat bonuses as heavy does, yet they dont give you the same armor rating. because of this the cloth users are simply unable to compete with a tank in stats, because they dont need to get gear for thier toughness stats or vitality as much just because they already have a higher armor rating.
there is a simple solution to this and it would be relatively controversial. add a new stat to the light and medium armors.
having a new stat that doesnt affect power, precision, … but your endurance regen. this would compensate for the lack in armor rating for being able to dodge more often.
my suggestion is to use a 5% increase on each medium piece of armor and a 10% increase on a light piece of armor. meaning full medium would be 30% and full light would be 60%, or you could do a combination for 40% regen or 50% regen etc…
also it would be very interesting to open up all armors to all classes. so they all can utilize the 60%-0% increase in endurance regen. it would then also make using light armor more appealing and you could have more warriors switch to it for that reason.
it would also open up an immense world of build options too. to have a warrior in light armor would be comparable to having a monk. or a necro in heavy so they are more durable.
my problem is that light armor users are stat deficient compared to heavy armor users, and the solution would be to give an endurance regen stat to light and medium armors to compensate for the deficiency. also to open up the build world even more give all classes the ablilty to use light, medium, and heavy armors.
I feel that there need to be more weapon types in game. Such a sickle on a chain for the thief and ranger, maybe even the elementalist, or a gauntlet type weapon that could be used like a hand-to-hand combat weapon for warriors and guardians like classes, or a hand blaster like weapon for spellcasters. One thing I don’t understand as well, is that if there are bows AND guns….why not the hybrid of the two? Where’s my crossbow? If you have a spear and a staff, then why no lance or spear while out of water? If you were to have a gauntlet like weapon, then why not put bladed gauntlets in as well like the claws of wolverine on them, and also make it to wear you can just wear one gauntlet weapon if you want so you could have a sword and gauntlet or dagger gauntlet, etc. Lastly, if you have hammers and greatswords, where’s my massive greataxe?! I feel like adding new weapon types into the game would broaden the playstyle significantly for every class and allow for more fun and interesting build to be created.
I agree, but i would prefer not adding new weapons to the game just yet. doing that would cause unrest among the other players, because of the fact they with their mesmer or warrior cannot use that weapon. this would cause the sense of favoritism. my suggestion is to make ALL Classes able to use ALL weapon types. necros could use rifles and shoot bone shards for poison and bleeds, mesmers could use a shield to create 2 illusions next to him to hold the line. the possibilities would be endless, then when everyone can use everything adding new weapons would not be much of a problem.
i was thinking after almost breaking into lady Wi’s mansion if we could add jumping puzzles in the cities near or around poi… they don’t have to be long, but it would add an assassin’s creed feel to the game running on rooftops to infiltrate a building, and by putting secret rooms in these buildings that are inaccessible from the main room, there could be treasure chests to reward the players. i think it would be an interesting addition to the game.
