Hey there, awesome video, makes me want to hop back on my Mes But in my technological ineptitude I am unable to find this banner that you mention contains the build… Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Thanks a bunch, keep up the great vids!

Look through the builds and find something that looks kind of like what you enjoy, then tinker with it to suit your play style. I find that GS is best in a power build, it doesn’t inflict any damaging conditions so condi damage won’t help, unless you have high precision and stack a ton of bleeds, and choose some traits that boost your phantasms. Sword/Focus is in the same boat as far as power or condi damage. If you don’t have any trouble with evading enemies then go with Berserker gear. Travelers Runes will help you cross the map faster and get from event to event.

Something I randomly put together for PVE, if you are having trouble you could swap Mirror Images out for Phantasmal Defender. Accessories can round out your stats with whatever you need, defense or offense.

I have trouble with Thieves as well, what is the rule of thumb when they stealth for what seems like an eon? Blink away and pray?

What is the build you are using for the EG? I have been wanting to implement it but am about as adept at making a build as a drunken octopus is at driving. All I can really gather is that it helps to have some condi damage.

When you say a full set of Dire is recommended, is that including trinkets? And is Dire recommended for just the Commander and Zerg variants? This looks like a ton of fun, can’t wait to try it out.

Hello Rangers,

I have recently started playing my ranger again and have been mostly in PVE with my brother (GS Warrior). I am enjoying Axe/Torch and wonder how I should build around this. There is a ton of possibility for conditions with that weapon set, but I’m really bad at figuring out how to make things gel together nicely. How have other Rangers gone about PVE with the Axe/Torch? I don’t like the full ’zerker builds, but am open to constructive pros and cons of certain builds over others. Let me know what you think, thanks.

Where are Glamour builds standing nowadays? I haven’t been on in a while and used to run Pyro Atheists Immortal Mesmer build, and the rumor is that retaliation in WvW isn’t very good anymore so I need to find something new. We could disrupt a zerg back in the day with glams, or at least it always looked that way when I was on my Engi (that’s why I rolled a Mesmer in the first place). Any ideas or builds still in beta testing at the moment?
