Yes I will spend more money on this game around the Christmas event. Halloween was a lot of fun and I love the Mad King costume I bought. Its not a big deal for me to spend money on the game because of the lack of a monthly fee. If I pay $15 a month for other MMO’s why not spend $10 or $15 for GW2 a month on gem purchases?
To each their own I guess but I don’t mind supporting them with a little cash here and there.

Just wanted to start a positive discussion about the shadow of the Mad King event. These last few days have been a blur of fun events, great dialogue, and surprises that make GW2 such a great game.
I ran the Ascent to Madness mini dungeon probably 20-30 times and had an absolute blast. My new flaming backpack is awesome, and even though I did not get a skin or special holiday weapon I still managed to farm the holiday mats I will need to make the crossing myself. Still jealous that my gf got the staff off of MK dungeon though.
Having played other MMO’s over the years I have to say that this has been the best yet and I look forward to every other holiday celebration Anet has in store over the next year. Anyone else enjoy this as much as I did?
And btw the clock tower is just too crazy for me.
